Urgent...Got an email from non-USA bidder asking if I'll ship there. Auctions clearly state US only. I politely said no. Now the auction ends in 1 hr. and this bidder jumps in and is high bidder now with private next to the name. Can I remove this bid with so little time left. Thanks for any help.

Yes. Don't waste any time. He's the one who can't retract his bid at this late date.

Block him from bidding first. Then cancel his bid. This will keep him from sniping or bidding again. If you can't stop him before the auction ends, forward his email and your reply with headers to safeharbor. He will be suspended if he bids after you specifically tell him not to.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Thanks so much. He's now blocked from bidding and I was able to cancel the bid. Wow..learned a lot in 5 min. time. Had never performed any of those functions before, I'm darn proud of myself! Now for the drawback, the bid is back down a whole lot lower than it was. That's ok though, I just don't like feeling bullied. Thanks again.

I had a similar situation. After I told them no they bid anyhow. I let it go and he ended up very high bidder, but had it sent to his verified address in San Fransisco.

...and what if he didn't have a US address?

It seems you didn't know until end of auction.

I have had a few bidders ask me to ship out of USA and after telling them no they bid anyway. All gave me USA addresses to ship to they would just rather have it shipped direct to them. Sorry to say You probably cost yourself some money.

The ones that don't have USA addresses don't bother to ask they just bid.
