An item sold for 1 cent. Well, that does happen from time to time. Total due with s/h: $4.01.

The buyer PayPals me 1 cent. PayPal takes 1 cent in fees. Net to me: zero.

Oh yeah, the kicker: Buyer wants me to use her FedEx account to ship the widget!

I'm going to go out tonight and have a couple stiff drinks. Bottoms up, everyone.

Hi Fluffy,

I didn't think you took PayPal... Geeze, don't you just hate this kind of nonsense?

Seriously, as has been pointed out here, using a buyer's FedEx account can come back to bite you if they refuse the charge.

Anyway, Cheers!!!

Lucy

Unreal. And the kicker is that they did not even bother to ask you if your are willing to accept their fedex #.

When you get those drinks done [take an hour or so ]Give her your world famous tongue lashing and demand full payment or else.

All this crap over a penny sale....sheesh!

Pack it in a solid oak crate, one that weighs about 40 pounds, and ship it overnight using her account number. Don't use your name or address as the sender just in case that thing gets sent back. Use a competitor's or an NPB's info instead. Then REALLY enjoy those drinks

The sucker ebay sellers offering one cent auctions with excessive s/h terms must get this all the time. Goes with the tacit to offer items at a penny I guess.

paying one cent on paypal, what a moron. That is an easy automatic reject! Sending a 40 pound package won't do any good, most likely she is getting this shipped to work, on work's expense account.

Refund their $.01.

Tell them your shipping charges are only $.01 and your packaging and handling charge is $3.99.

They still owe $4.00 with handling and you will use their Fed_ex account to ship.

Never, ever allow someone to do this. You dictate which shipping company and terms that work for you. Reject that payment and send an invoice for the proper amount.

Tell them there is a $20 fee (or whatever number you like) you charge for using a Fedex account number.

i would just ship fed exp as she requested and move on.
this bidder is not going to refuse shipment, she is getting a piece of jewelry for one penny and like someone pointed out,she may be using her employer/business fed exp account which could cost her nothing.
has cocktail hours started yet??

If you go look at my "fluffythewondercat" auctions (and please do), you'll see that ftwc accepts the whole range of PayPal payment methods.

For most of my auctions, I do not accept PayPal.

Personal accounts can no longer be used to accept PayPal payments when that person also holds a Business or Premier account.

Dear buyer - my terms are laid out in painstaking detail in the auction you bid on. For some reason you feel that you are not subjected to them and would rather dictate your own terms to me. This is fine but considering the havok this reaks upon our currently implemented system there will be a $5 handling charge added to the order. Please let me know how you wish to proceed.

I get this quite a bit on 1 cent items that end for a penny. I send the payment back to them and tell them to resubmit the correct amount of $4.01 They usually do. I think they hope you won't notice and will ship the item anyway...yea right.
