Oh, Happy Friday!!!

Seems like this week has been a slow and drag'ie one. I am glad at least its the weekend I can go out and romp around some sales!!

Did ya all read about that guy who bought a painting at a garage sale for 5 bucks, and after looking at it awhile he called some museum about it and they said offered him a cool million for it?

ha-ha thats my dream!

It's Friday already? Yikes - this seemed like a short week. We don't have any sales around here now. About another month. Yesterday, we had 60 degrees and sun. At 5:30 this morning, there was a zero visibility blizzard going on! Yesterday I took a walk by my favorite pond and saw an otter scampering across the remaining ice, several returned Canada geese, and even a couple of bugs. Today - well, I'm not taking a walk! That's the weather here in Central New York State. But, they have great yard sales when the weather is warmer, can't wait. Good luck on your treasure hunt, Neroter!

We are 30 miles east of Syracuse and we get all the "lake effect" stuff. Lucky us!! I think we are all suffering from cabin fever this year. C'mon, spring - hurry up!

In my whole (long) life I've never been more ready for Spring.

I notice by our paper that the rummage sales have started even though it is still cold outside. Some days we have a warm up 55 degrees but not warm enough for me. I am trying to decide if I am going to be pushed around at garage sales or stay home. I have merchandise to keep going and I am not looking forward to the "eBay bunch" around here. There are new adventures I want to try. I want to get into beading as we have a open market here on Saturdays to sell new craft items. I am burned out. I will continue to sell until all my jewelry and other items are gone. I have never complained about NPB but I have 3 from March 4 that I have never heard from. I don't know if the eBay invoice or reminder ever got to them but today I wrote personal emails hoping those get through. The past couple of days I have had about 8 emails with viruses. Of course they are blocked so I never receive them. Sorry about the rambling but with my decision it will be a much better summer. I still will come to the Ebay Outlook as this is a great bunch.

Come on out to Sunny San Diego - we are expecting highs in the 70's all week. Even hit the 80's earlier this week.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

earthmum, in my eyes you are lucky, sounds like your right smack in the middle of our favoriate snowmobiling territory! Have spent many days riding in the Sherril, Czasinovia, Madision, Hamilton areas. All the way from Castle Creek no less...

micmic - yup, I'm lucky. You may have been snowmobiling very close! It is just beautiful unspoiled country. Fresh air, just about crime-free, and all the gifts of nature. I just moved here from the Baltimore area, where I lived for about 20 years, and I love it. My allergies cleared up, I feel 10 years younger. And I get to see otters and muskrats and deer and many other critturs every day. Of course, folks around here say this was the worst winter in a few years, but miles and miles of pristine snow is beautiful too!!

Earthmum, its funny as I grew up in NJ, and when we moved down south I found that garage sale season runs all year long instead of the May-Sept season I was used to. Plus there is a lot of military here and they are always moving and get rid of stuff! lol.

Hey check out this online garage sale: Lots of pretty big lot, at 28.00 dollars so far (and no its not mine) - 1065 hits. Wonder if any of it is resellable? Bet the shipping will be a bi**ch!
