Just got an invitation from eBay to attend an on-line seminar or "webinar" as they called it. It is on March 30th, and they require registration to attend. From the pamphlet provided, it seems they will be addressing "Top Seller Strategies That Work," "Effective Merchandising Techniques," and "Reducing Your Non-Paying Buyer Rate." There will also be a question and answer session. It seems geared to high volume sellers, which I am not. Also sounds a lot like some of the seminars I was obliged to attend before I retired. They used to take all day to disseminate information that could have been put in a two-page pamphlet. Anyone here going to attend?

It is free! I don't know why I got an invitation, I'm not a big seller.

Earthmum: Does it ask you to register from a link and does it want your eBay password? Just curious or maybe I am getting paranoid about any unsolicited offers. Unless you can get on the eBay site and find a page about the webinar I would be suspicious.

Bizzy - in the invitation, there is a code that you enter on eBay to register. I don't think I am going to participate - I feel it is more geared to large volume sellers. I never list more than 20 items per week.

I don't see where they can tell you anything that you can't learn right here on EO.

If it's free though, wouldn't hurt to sign up.

McJane: That's how I feel. I try to learn to learn as much as I can from all sources. It certainly can't hurt!

I found this, but it looks like it only deals with books and entertainment?

http://www.ebay.com/booksandentertainment/

Perhaps there are other categories on other dates.
