Where do I defauft like his carved in stone information.....ie, in the area where he mentions standing in line at the post office. And all his terms ofr sale.I went to live chat and the guy was clueless. Thanks!

Kinda dumb, the guy could use 'Click & Ship' or Endicia, and NEVER stand in a one hour line at the P.O. just drop the package(s) off and your done, or better yet have them pick the packages up.

He's a power seller and doesn't know all these 'handy' little things?

Jack, Sir.

What listing tool are you using to list?

This may need to be answered before a direct answer can be given.

Different listing tools have various ways to store default text.

I think I see what you mean.... he's not using any auction management, so he's most likely has that info (not the descripion) but the shipping etc info saved in Word or Notepad. Just brings it up, copys and pastes it in. Thats the only thing I can think of. I've done that before when using a different auction mgmt other than Sellers Assistant. I have my TOS in Word and bring it up, copy, then paste it in, set it down, start another...

I *think* thats what your asking?

Jack -If you aren't using Vendio or another auction management system, I suppose you could copy his HTML and then personalize it to make it your own.

To do that you can click on the "view" tab at the top of IE and then "source" and all of the HTML is shown in Notepad. You could copy that, personalize it, and then paste it into your auction descriptions.

Is that like image stealing though?

Thanks. What HE is personally saying is not my point. I care less what he says,,,,,I just wanted to know HOW to lock ANYTHING I care to say in so I Don't have to type the same information over and over. You can do it on vendio,,,,I know that. Tell ya the truth the only benefit vendio use to have over e bay was the LAUNCH feature. E bay HAS the launch feature now. I just want to list right on e bay.

I think you just have to copy and paste the same verbage in each description. Just save it as a word doc and copy and paste into the description. As far as I know, eBay doesn't have user saved listings in the regular turbo-lister (or whatever they are calling it these days).

Neglus is right. Put the information with the html in your microsoft word then just cut and past it in your auctions. It is really simple.

I save mine in a draft email...that way it's always handy since my email is always right there. I just cut and paste everytime.

jack, if you use vendio to list you can have some thing written that auto defaults on every auction. Its in global preferences or my preferences, or ebay prefererences...one of them...I forget which.

That is where I have my terms come up on every auction so I never change it.

Is that what you mean?? I think they have something similar in payment info or the templates on the ebay selling mgr too.

Neroter, Exactly. I will have to admit. I am listing right on e bay. One,,,reason,I hate the way you have to choose a catagory BEFORE you can pick your pictures on Vendio. Remember when they reversed the proceedure.

It WAS so nice to take a look at my pics and then make an auction from my choice. The way it is now, a pita and nope, I ain't gonna fight it. Just leave. hahahaha. No more Crusades from this guy.

E bay gives the ZIP Code,,(personally I'd rather flat out see the High bidders STATE during the bidding),,,AFTER,,,,, the non readers "WIN" my NON shipping auctions. Hi I live in NEW YORK,When will you be delivering the 500 pound piano or can I just pop over and pick it up. let me know when you'll be home. I LIVE in CALIFORNIA!!!! NEW YORK!!!!!! Had I of SEEN NEW YORK during the auction,,poof! and Blocked that NON Reader.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!! READ NOTHING!!!!!!!

Therefore,,,,,I give up! They are the BIG Company with bright ideas. I am but a pawn.
