An interesting and exciting auction.

A VERY rare item. It is, to my knowledge, the second existing actual photograph of Abe. That could be an error on my part depending on how you define photograph. Any wiser correction is invited.

In any case, a museum quality item after proofing the provenance.

Excuse me, but I am not sure if your post about this auction is serious or if you are being facetious. There are, of course, many existing photographs of Lincoln but this object is certainly not one of them. It is clearly a copper printing block.

Seller is a friggin idiot, says in the description "No Reserve" and the bid as "not met reserve"

museum quality? Not hardly...

Would of been better off selling a beer can.

I just sent the following Ask Seller a Question email...

Hi, How low is your reserve on the copper Lincoln printing plate? Lucy

Heh heh... I wonder if I'll hear from him?

Lay a penny on a railroad track and you'll have the same thing he's got.

This is a classic example of an auction with too many photos. The download time is killing his/her chances of having many more bidders. I lost interest after two minutes and I was interested because of this posting. It would have been much better if some of the photos would have been combined to cut down on the bytes used.

Obviously not a photo. By the way, is there any pictures of Abe not in that pose? Tongue squarely in cheek.
