clancey99 I have a Sony Mavica FD100 but I'll try and help you out here...Mine takes either a floppy disk or memory stick.I always use floppies it's just easier for me.Once you have taken your pictures just pop your disk in the computer then use a program like paint shop pro to edit them to your taste...then load them straight to ebay or vendio if you use them. Hope this helps.

I don't think I have paint shop pro... just tried in Accessories-Paint (never used this program ) should be on every computer
(I use PhotoStudio 2.0)

Put the disk in. Open up Paint (or Paint shop) pull down File, then click Open, then it should bring up everything on your computer, click on 3 1/2 Floppy (A). That should bring the list of pics you took.

From there click on a picture, it should bring it on screen, from there use the tools to crop, rotate, brightness and contrast, resize. I don't know what you have, but should have these tools.

Good luck

I sometimes edit my images on a different computer than the one I downloaded them to. I copy the raw images to a floppy and put the floppy in the other computer. I then copy the images from the floppy to a temporary directory on my hard drive and edit them in that directory. I never edit images directly on a floppy. When I edit them, I give them names and upload the one's I decide to use, then I move them from the temp directory to a permanent directory. I keep copies of every image I use on Ebay for at least a year.

What I would like to do is load the image from the floppy disc to Microsoft Picture It for editing which is already loaded into my computer Is this doable?

Of course it's doable. PictureIt doesn't care if the pictures arrive via an USB port or a floppy. Locate the default directory that PictureIt imports pictures to when downloading direct from a camera and copy your pictures from drive a: to that directory. Most editing programs will allow you to also edit pictures in other directories. If that's the case with PictureIt, you can create a different directory as I suggested above and copy your pictures into that one instead. Then you can navigate to that directory from inside PictureIt and work on them there.

I had a Mavica FD73 and now have a FD100 and have used the Arcsoft with both. It has to be loaded from a disc which comes with the camera when it is new. You might call Sony on the phone and see if you can get the disc from them or download it. They have always been very helpful when I have called them.

I usually use the easy software that came with my original cheapy polaroid digital camera but I have also used the downloadable software from http://irfanview.com/

It's easy and quick to use. Plug and play

Put the floppy disk in the "a"drive

click on start

then click on run

In the space type a:\

click ok

the pictures will open on your computer screen.

right click a picture and in the list that follows select "open with" and select your picture program.

that should open your picture in your program where you can edit the size etc. That edit will be saved on your floppy disk when you are finished.

Hope that helps.

You shouldn't have to do anything special from what you did before.

Step one. Put floppy in floppy drive.

Step two. On your desk top, click My Computer.

Step three. Click drive A (or whatever your floppy drive is)

Step four. Here is the tricky part. You will have two images with the same title. One will have the generic unknown file logo and the other will have your default image programs logo. You can delete the the unknown logo file as you won't need it. You don't have to, but I personally like to.

Step five. click on the file you would like to open. You are now looking at your picture.

This whole process should only take you about 20 seconds.

Yes, it is that simple.

I use AOL's Picture finder w/the floppy from my Mavica. Simple, but crops, enhances brightness, etc and is and good enough for listings. Not at all hi-tech.

Well... then open up Picture It (I don't have that, don't even know what it is) but if its a program, it should have a 'toolbar' on top. Your floppy with your pictures you took, put in the disk drive.
Have Picture it open, if there is a toolbar, then find File or somewhere where it says 'Open' then open 3 1/2 Floppy (A).
That should open up your all your pics on your floppy.Click one, work with it-crop, brighten, contrast, resize whatever. Then save it to a folder you (probably?) have for your ebay pics. Go to next picture.

I think working with the floppy is probably the easiest than a cable from camera to computer or a memory stick.
