I just listed 3 collectible books, and just wondering -- how effective is Ebay's submission service & search engine capability? When I did a google search for the book, Ebay wasn't among the first two pages, other sites were such as Universities and Abe books, etc.

Comment?

Nope. I'm not gonna do it. I'm not going to take the time to try to explain to you what spiders and bots are, and how Google indexes Web pages, and why it indexes some and not others.

This information is all readily available elsewhere if you are really interested and willing to learn.

Silly Fluffy -- you already know the answer to that bolded comment....

I resist "ignoring" Sal -- the entertainment value more than outweighs the sometimes overwhelming desire to smack 'er upside the head...

SalGal, I looked at your auctions to see if you had something to buy. Just so you know.......Steinbeck's Pastures of Heaven was published by Brewer, Warner, & Putnam in 1932. What you've got there is a second printing of a "first edition thus". I didn't look at the other auctions, but suggest that
you purchase a couple of inexpensive guides, so that you can more accurately describe these "collectible" books.

edited to add:
Sometimes it's just hard not to respond -- even if just in the spirit of diversion.

thank you, but I was quoting the inside cover of the book. It's not my words, it's the publisher's words. You'll notice it says 1st printing, 2nd printing. Those are the publisher's words, not mine.

I love the way you folk put people down. A simple question required a simple answer. I must be a glutton for punishment -- NO MORE!

Yes, since you keep coming back, that's the only possible conclusion.

Unless you got lost on your way to:

You guys are just too funny! After a long, hard stress filled day at work, there's nothing like getting a laugh right here on Vendio. Too bad some people take things so seriously.

Cheryl: Sorry to hear about the stress. My partner has a job he loathes -- and it's causing him health problems. Get out before it makes you sick.
