Anyone have any luck getting two of their accounts merged?
I have been at eBay to get this done for many months. I can't figure out why they're offering this service if they're not going to do it.
The guidelines say the "old" account has to be quiescent (no activity) for 30 days. I waited long enough to make sure that was true, then filed the merge request. Six weeks passed, and nothing. I wrote them again. This time they wrote back and said they would be happy to help me when the old account had no activity for 30 days.
So I waited another 30 days. And wrote them again.
This time I had to provide them with a written statement stating that I understood the process and that my "old" account would go away, never to be used again. Yes, I understand that. Yes. Yes.
That was 45 days ago. I wrote again Monday.
You're going to love the latest. "Due to a system upgrade, we will be unable to merge accounts for approximately 30 days while we make necessary improvements to our product."
Apparently in the eBay universe, everything takes 30 days. What, is that Meg's gestational period or something?

Fluffy I did this about 2 months ago.I had the same trouble you did. After waiting 2 months I re-submitted it and the second time it went thru.I think it took around 30 days to take effect even thou the account I wanted to merge hadnt been used in 3 years.I dont know why it didnt take effect the first time.

Fluffy..I know the answer to your question and have a perfect solution, but because I'm in the process of changing to another keyboard, it'll be 30 days before I can give it to you.

AND - if Sparkz tells you, he'll have to kill you, right?
About things taking 30 days: Reminds me, when we built our new home in Las Vegas in 1971, every additional add-on (sprinkler system, etc.) was exactly $400. I guess they looked at the neighborhood and figured that's what the traffic will bear. It got to be funny.

<--was in Vegas in Feb,1971 for two weeks-saw Elvis 7 times-Petula Clark-Bobby Vinton-Red Foxx-The Fifth Dimension-Steve Lawrence and Eddie Gormye and Paul Anka.My wife, who was my girl friend at the time went out again in Jan 1972.We bought some land in Pahrump,Nv. in one of these land sales. It was for around $10,000 for an acre.So we took a ride out there the next day and there was nothing there but acres of land marked off-we expected to see some kind of construction going on. The next day I picked up the Sunday N.Y Times and read about some land scam and in Fla where they were selling swamp water-I paniced and went back to the guy and told him I changed my mind and got my money back.-its probably a bustling metropolis now lol.
