sorry, non-ebay content here, [but for us personally, it was ebay biz-related]

re: computer problems [if you never have computer problems that you can't fix, you don't have to bother reading on ]

we had the pleasure of tripping over [and winning] an auction by a rather new company called 1-800-GeeksOnTime --- they are a complete NATIONAL network of computer experts who are dispatched to come TO your onsite computer to do anything you want! upgrades, repairs, networking, emergency data recovery, etc. etc. and their cost is completely in line with others that do this around here. we desperately needed a network set up here in our home office. once had a "friend" geek come to our house to try to set it up, and he managed to crash our son's new computer. after we took our broken computer in for repair/recovery, i tried setting up/installing a network myself; [it didn't work, just made me totally frustrated, i gave up and returned the router etc. to walmart] ------ then i came across this company quite by accident and took the plunge. they were 100% 'all about me' in getting everything done and being in contact. sent a nice geek here who had us up and running pretty fast. that was a couple weeks ago. i realized a few days after he left, that i really should have asked him to 'map' each computer's c: drive and 'tree' to each other [he had asked me which files i thought we need to use/share the most often, and I picked our main .jpg file folders, and my sons mp3 folders, and told him i couldn't think of anything else] ... so finally yesterday, i emailed thier home office and asked them if they could email me step-by-step instructions on how to 'map' the c: drives to each other, so we could go find other things when we need to. guy there took the time to describe it and told me not to be overwhelmed. also said if i had problems or qualms that i could just call him at the 800 number and he could talk me thru it, which he said would probably be a lot faster than the email instructions he'd just sent. LOL

anyway, yak yak yak [3rd cup of coffee here] - i just wanted to highly recommend this company to any of you who are technophobic [like me]

Have a Happy Easter everyone~!

p.s. here are 2 of their 'auctions' right now. they are just recently venturing to ebay as a 'venue' for marketing their service.
