I ship often to Canada cuz geeez they just do not get it --Canada is not in the USA (grin) Anywho, I never had any real problems with Canada (YET)Have shipped to UK, France,Germany ,Indonesia,Australia -NO PROBLEMS.
I have shipped to Italy several times and that is the worst place to ship I ever encountered. It was my experience others may not have any problems.

My question..I have a potential buyer who lives in Japan. Is it pretty smooth sailing shipping to Japan.
Thanks in advance
I appreciate y'all

Sold to a buyer in Japan, but he was going to L.A. so I shipped it there to his hotel.
He was great and very appreciative. When he returned he helped me out to identify other pieces I had. No problem

Sold to Japan, Korea, Italy and everything I sent made it in less than a week with no problems. My international buyers bid higher than the US buyers. The only problem is that I cannot insure and they understand that before they bid. It states it up front in my auctions. I can mail their package but I can't guarantee delivery.

Libra,

You can insure through U-Pic for international shipments. It's $1.40 per $100 of insurance.

Don't be leery of Japanese buyers! They are some of my best buyers, and I only wish I had more of them. I sell to someone in Japan every now and then.

Canada is one of the very few that you will ever have a problem with. They whine, cry, rant, rave, because they think they are special and shouldn't pay for international shipping and whine when they have to pay their duty fees. Please mark my package as a gift. PLEEEEEEEEEASE. Pretty Please with sugar on top. NO you whiners. If you bid, you pay what you are suppose to. I am not risking jail time for your sorry rear end.

Roadsmith...Same here. Some of my best bidders are from Japan. No deadbeats and more than half the time they will spring for Global Express. If I have an item that I know is especially hot in Japan, I open my (normally U.S.A. bidders only) auction to international and schedule it to launch at 2:30 A.M. so it will end during prime time in Japan. Never had a problem and with Bidpay, I can complete a transaction with a bidder in Tokyo as easily and as quickly as a bidder in New York.

Love Japan buyers - I don't take paypal on high ticket items but I would not worry too much if I did. Canada is not so great? Nightmare to Mexico but it was the buyer & the shipping cost more than the location.
