Sorry - I had to delete this. I am pretty upset about the email, but on second thought it was too graphic to post here...

well, you're right [on both counts] ... where DO these ohmygod people come from, AND it was sure over-the-lines of decency.

how unnerving for you! ...

AintRichYet - I am sincerely sorry you had to read that before I got it deleted.

This is the first experience like this I have had on eBay and it is most certainly unnerving.

I did forward everything to eBay (with headers as they always request LOL ) - I doubt anything will be done since this is a Power Seller, but it really upset me.

Had one of these myself a few years ago. The most revolting, sexually explicit and racist I had ever seen. All because I left him a neg for non-payment. I reported him to Ebay who said they would take action but of course would not inform me when and if they did. As far as I could see they did nothing. He still kept on selling and buying and leaving ex. rude feedback for people. He's still at it and has acquired a bunch of neg. feedback. I don't know how he gets away with it, some of his comments are so racist. I also reported him to his ISP but they said there was very little they could do apart from give him a warning. I was so furious. I blocked his e-mail address so he couldn't send me any more filth. It galls me to see him at it still. What does it take to get these people suspended?

Ok, sounds like a good choice, wgm. This is why Vendio seldom has to step in. I don't think I even want to see a summary. A gov't censored version with the blacked out part might be entertaining.

LOL, parklane ... I was thinking the same thing myself this morning, i.e., it would have been an almost entertaining read if wgm would like to post it here with the offensive words shown as "bleep"

and poor wgm, if your Question-er had typed it to you with the word 'bleep' in those places, YOU would have had an entertaining read too ... too bad they were so provocatively STRANGE.

let us know how ebay responds to your inquiry, k?

Wellllll, I am still patiently waiting to hear back from eBay (like they are really going to do something anyway), so no news yet. I did check and this person is still a PS and has auctions on right now.

Basically, this woman (notice I did not say lady) emailed me through "ask seller a question" about a particular swimsuit I have in my store. She intially wanted to know if the suit could be worn as shorts for her boyfriend. I emailed her back and explained the type of suit this was - that it was designed very large and was intended to be worn over another suit for practice. And that I would not recommend this suit being worn for shorts. I answered her question to a "T". Simple enough? Noooooo.....

She emails me back and asks the exact same question again (the one I had gone into great length to answer), but only with more explicit details as to what might be exposed . Once again, I reply very professionally what type suit it is and that I did not recommend it being worn as shorts....(how am I doing, AintRichYet?). Did she get it that time? Nooooo.....

She emails once again, this time interested in the "shorts" for her and graphically describes what she has and wants to know if it would be exposed if she wore the "shorts" with nothing on underneath them.

I had mentioned in my first reply to her that I was a female, and would not consider wearing the suit - so she knew I was a "she".

My final email to her was...

"Your emails are way out of line and I don't appreciate them. I answered your question the first time, and you have proceeded to get vulgar and graphic. You would have to be a total idiot to not understand my first reply.

I am forwarding your emails to eBay for their review and ask that you not email me again.

Thank you."

I have to admit that I did sort of feel like Fluffy on the last sentence of the first paragraph

Anyway, it was a busy shipping day for me today, so was away from computer most of the time - then a skating party with my little boy (and I skated too!). The skating helped work off some of my frustration I guess - or maybe it's the Merlot right now

edited to add: this is a men's suit we are talking about, btw...

i think our Ohio newspaper's 'crime watch' found your buyer this week ... blurb in today's paper, "A 45-year-old Lynndale Drive woman reported that after she sold a woman an item on E-bay, the woman has been calling her at all hours of the day and night to ask sexually explicit questions."

Oh no! That poor woman! I tell you, some people really make me wonder where they do come from!

I did get the usual eBay response on this...

"Hello,

I appreciate you notifying SafeHarbor with your concern.

We are concerned about violations on the site and have thoroughly
investigated your report. Please be assured that we have taken the
appropriate action in accordance with our site policies. Our actions may
include issuing a warning, temporary or indefinite suspension, or
terminating the membership.

the result of our investigation to third party members. Please
understand that this is for the protection of all eBay users.

I appreciate the opportunity to assist you. We are committed to making
your experiences at eBay pleasant and rewarding.

I didn't expect anything else...

Wow...what a whacko! It never fails to surprise me what some people do to entertain themselves. Just remember that you are dealing with the public, and you will come across the very small percentage of crazies from time to time. Don't dwell on it too much, and move on.

Just remember...and this isn't condoning what this female did or wrote by any means...but what you find offensive might not be to others.
