I had an auction end 5/4 and cannot get the winner to respond to any emails from me or from eBay. Since April, she has bid on a lot of auctions and actually won 18 at a good sum of money. She's got 1 positive feedback for quick payment. I filed my NPBA. Should I just go ahead and relist or give her more time? At this point, I don't know if the one she paid for was actually a quick payment or if the seller was just saying that (I wish more sellers would be honest when leaving feedback) because I've had very slow payers with "quick payment" in their feedback. Should I email the other sellers she won from back in April to see if they've heard from her? I hate NPB's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did you check where she is??
several of us have been hit with bidders who bidded high ,have zero feedback and claimed to be in foreign countries like Russia,British virgin islands,Ex USSR republic??
you can also pull her contact info and call her.
If she cannot be reached, then report to ebay and ask them to verify her address.
If they cannot find her, they may suspend her.

I agree with stop - unless you had a second bidder. You could do a SCO and go ahead and file on her. She is probably one of the newbies that think they can bid and bid - then just pick what they wish to pay for later??

I'm going to relist. She's paid a couple of the other sellers fast according to them and she's retracted 2 bids in the last week. One of them was another of my auctions she bid on. She's blocked and she will get a neg once I file to get my fees back. She may neg back, but that's a chance I'm will to take at this point. She's in the US. $19.95 is not worth a long distance phone call.

Do you have a cell phone with free long distance after 9 pm? If so try calling, but I do agree it is not worth the effort. As sellers we are very lenient, at least I am, but buyers seem to just make us hang around. What I like is auction ends, buyer pays immediately or else responds about payment. Mail the instant payment the next day. 2 days and they are gone. Uusually checks arrive 3 days later, mailing is the next day and I am done. This is what I want my business to do. But that sometimes doesn't work and we got those tag a long buyers that don't feel that the seller has a life. I would not email anyone about her. If you don't want to call then I would file the NPB and list tonight. Did you cancell the latest bid? I hope so. Glad you blocked her...

Maybe I'm more lenient than most sellers, but when I file the NPB, I usually wait the full 10 days before I relist. The wording of the notification Ebay sends would, at first sight, give the bidder the impression that they have another 10 days to pay. Even though they state the seller is under no obligation to hold the item, many, and especially newbies, may not pick up on that. I uaually relist immediately after I file the FVF refund on the 10th day. OTOH, if the bidding history looks like a low feedback person has gone on a sport bidding spree, and they don't respond to my emails, I will relist immediately after filing the NPB.

I usually am pretty lenient with newbies. That is, unless I see them bidding like crazy on other auctions and then paying for them while ignoring me. Then I lose all patience. Had she not been bidding on anything else, I would be more inclined to wait chalking it up to her being new to the whole process. I've used both eBays email system and my own. I realize she has AOL, but the emails from other sellers appear to be getting through to her. I'm going to relist, but I'll probably wait until Sunday to do so. I'm not holding my breath on this one. My terms are exactly like eBay's. eBay expects the seller to get notice out within three days. I expect a response top my WBN (barring natural disasters, illness and death) within three days, payment within 10. I'll wait the 10 days even though she's paid the other sellers with Paypal. I am not Walmart wheree you can take a product to the counter, have it rung up and tell the cashier you changed your mind. Doesn't work here. Oh, brother.

Well, she got her neg today. She's now back down to 0 feedback. Good. She may leave me my first negative because eBay's screwed up system allows for that, but I don't care. Newbies need to learn that by ignoring sellers they are digging their own hole. If she would have taken the time to contact me, we may have been able to work something out. Too late now. I just wish all sellers would leave honest feedback so the rest of us don't get sucked in. Now it looks like I have another one pulling the same crap. You'd think that since eBay is losing money as well, they'd be a bit harder on these people and stop giving them so many chances and stop allowing them to leave feedback if they haven't paid.

Cheryl, I'd wait the full 10 days. File for your fees and then relist. Don't take a chance.

"She may leave me my first negative because eBay's screwed up system allows for that"

Then she can use a different email address to get a new eBay ID and have a perfect feedback record.

You will have your same seller ID for a while and have the mark staywith you. Unbelievable.

Didn't I read somewhere recently that Ebay changed FB rules so that someone who hasn't paid can't retaliate? Or was that a dream I had?

I tend to wait to hear from bidders--a little longer than others, perhaps. I've had a few over the years who've just got back into town, thrilled that they won the auction, paying right away. I know--they shouldn't bid if they're going on a trip--but they do sometimes. A couple of others have had family emergencies that sounded real--and then paid as soon as they could.

I just wait a bit, maybe 10 days to 2 weeks (having pulled contact information and started the ball rolling with ebay, of course) before I get drastic or offer to the second highest bidder. Just my style.

But I'm not supporting myself or my family with my Ebay sales. I might feel different if that were the case.
