Well, can she buy something at Walmart, take it home and then pay for it later? Oh, brother, they're coming out of the woodwork. I'm not sure what to tell you, except "NO".

I had the same thing happen a few months ago. The buyer asked where their item was and I asked where my payment was. The buyer was brand new and quoted the ebay tv commercial "bid and it's on its way" Nothing in the commercial says anything about paying for the item first. This individual actually thought that they would get the item, then decide whether they wanted to keep it and pay or return it. When I explained the real terms of sale the person was very apologetic, paid right away and left great feedback.
However, this was a brand new person - no feedback until I left good fb for them. After 6 transactions you would think they would get the program!!

you "gently" explain how the game is really played and make sure she is clear on the NPB and Getting booted off ebay part.

Just politely tell her she needs to pay for the item up front and to send the payment. Then give her 7 days. If no payment, start the NPB process and move on.

I kinda feel sorry for all of you. but as far as the IRS is concerned, that can be appealed & probably won. As to gas prices, you are so lucky. The price of gas in Santa Barbara, CA, reached $3.00 a gallon this week. Wern't you lucky??? Haven't seen that low a price in 6 months.

I don't sell on eBay anymore, but when I did I was amazed at the number of bidders who would ask the same thing. One of the very first items I sold (when it was Auctionwatch) was a vintage Monopoly game. Back then only the elite actually had digital cameras, so this was listed without a picture. (At that point I had about 150 positive feedback - which was quite respectable back then.) The high bidder emailed me and said that he could not in good conscience send me the money without seeing the item to make sure that I actually had it. So I did a scan of the top of the box and sent it on. He was happy, paid me, and I made an investment in a black and white web cam type camera. When I stepped up a couple of years later and got a real digital camera I thought I was the shizzel. Whoo-hoo. Now I own two digital camera's and a color scanner, but still can't sell stuff. Our market (antiques and collectibles) is just too saturated. *sigh* I really do miss it at times.

lovetosell,
you can still sell your antiques and collectibles if you are willing to list them at 98 cents with no reserve.
