I always notify my customers when I ship their merchandise. In the notification, I ask them to let me know that the package arrived safely. Today I received the following email from one of them---

Hi, thank you, we look forward to receiving it! As we are in short of staff, so we are able to let you know only in case we DON'T receive it! We appreciate your understanding.
Thank you!

Evidently had time for this, but not time to email after package arrived.

They're struggling to nullify the time savings from their automated system, be gentle.

BTW, had a friend go to automated feedback and he wouldn't do it any other way, now. Seems to resolve the angst.
