This Teal Green 10" vase is older than it first appears. I addition to the rough pontil on the base, it shows considerable shelf wear. I don't have a clue as to who made it. Any help would be appreciated.

It is gorgeous! I really like the looks of it and the first thing that comes to my mind is the green color which reminds me of some of the early Libbey glass. Not sure if they did painting on glass or not....glass is not a strong point with me; I'm sure some of the glass people here can identify the maker for you....let us know if you put it up for auction as I may snipe it!

I'm confused. Max, you know that a rough pontil is not a sign of age. Lots of Mexican glass comes that way, as well as other contemporary blown glass where the pontil is not ground down because the glass is inexpensive.
So you must have meant something else by your comment or I am misunderstanding you.
lorettab: The maker of the glass and the decorator are often two different entities.

You're right Fluffy, what makes me think it has some age to it is the wear on the base. I doubt that anyone would use emery cloth to age it and then sell it for $3.00

Sticking my neck out here...
I'm far from an expert on glass but it looks like it might be eastern European to me. Then again, a lot of that has gold on it so, there you go, no help from me.
The kind I'm thinking of has gold decorations and the small, rounded parts of the design, like the red dots on your flowers, are raised. Kinda like tiny beads.
Here's one that's sorta-kinda what I'm talking about.
