In the past, if the bidders don't pay, I do the usual and file for Fees and then give them Negative Feedback. This has resulted in my getting Negatives that are not deserved. This makes me PO'd.
E-bay usually gives you 90 days to leave Feedback. I have a couple that I have not given Negs to and am waiting for the 90 days to avoid the Retaliatory Negative Feedback. I hope I have timed the days correctly.
Is anyone else using this ploy? Thanks for your answers.

Yep! I have an auction winner who then disappeared off the face of the earth--I have the neg all ready to copy and paste. I hope I get the dates exactly right (some months are longer than others)--mid to end of June is my target date. I've never done this before, though, and I'm fully prepared for some kind of glitch that doesn't allow the feedback this late.

Feedback can be left as long as the auction is still in eBay's database - so in some cases it is well after ninety days. I just checked some of my old auctions, and I can pull them up as far back as mid-January.
Ninety days isn't foolproof, so don't let it come back to bite you

I read the Feedback rules on E-Bay and according to their rules, the 90 days is from the date the auction ended! I just got fed up with the nasty Feedbacks from people who refused to pay and decided that I might be able to beat them at their own game.
If you go to E-Bay there is a place in Feedback to see all Feedback you need to leave. It will give you the date the auction ended. You really have to sit with a calendar to figure out exactly 90 days and post a sticky for yourself.
I am hoping that by the time the Deadbeat sees the Neg, it will be too late for them to respond with retaliation....

One thing you are not mentioning here is once you leave feedback, that will extend the period for the other to leave you feedback in return. Personally, I would neg the hell out of them and move on. If you get the neg in return, just repond to it as a retalitory neg. I have had a few and not one has hurt me yet.

I don't know, seems like too much work to time it at the end of 90 days. I say either give a neg, or don't give a neg. I just file and move on, not really worth dwelling on after you get screwed and don't get paid!

Too time consuming, I get the refund, and move on.
I don't leave negatives, it isn't worth the negative retaliation - when eBay changes I will too. I'd like to see eBay disallow feedback from those who don't pay...
