I'm sure this has been discussed before as to which one is the best to use. I ship some heavy boxes and they need to be insured because of breakage so have been lugging them to the P.O. getting to be a bit much.
The P.O. won't insure unless I take it in so am thinking of another carrier who will pick up. Its nice getting the free boxes and tape from the P.O. Do the other carriers supply this? Need an opinion and if you all are tired of this thread, maybe another can be suggested. I looked thru the different options on the web and am more confused than ever. Thanks - neva
Also, you might want to consider U-Pic.com for insurance. There you can insure to most countries, too -- and you don't have to leave your home to do it -- and, it's cheaper per $100 than the USPS.
Just a thought.

I just started using DHL and they seem to have the best price, or at least over usps or UPS. I think their insurance is on the high side because you can't get less the $2.50 worth or something like that.

Fedex will be the cheapest except DHL which might be a couple cents less. Take a look at the DHL transit map. It can take 5 days to some locations in my own state. Also, I don't like the Airborne (was just renamed to DHL) employees. (have them pickup and you will see what I mean if they are anything like around here)
I do use Airborne 2 day air on small heavy stuff since I have their prepaid envelopes. (no weight limit)
