Hi everyone. Bet you are all confused by the title. Right?!?!?! I am having a garage sale tomorrow and was just setting up, putting up the signs etc. My neighbor had told me about a month ago that she had some things to give me. I finally got around to going over there earlier. I guess she gave up on me and asked goodwill to come by and pick it up. They came by and left without taking anything. Their loss. I have almost a truck load of stuff to sell tomorrow: some collectible, some "garage sale" stuff but HEY! Who cares, DId I pay for it? NOPE. (Thank Goodness because as of this afternoon I will not be working a regular job and not by my design either) Sorry to ramble. Been a long day. Here is a vase that I can either get rid of tomorrow or Ebay it. It stands around 18 inches tall. I think it's pressed glass. I can see the seam on the bottom. what is really neat is that the blue fades towards the top and gets darker towards the edges

Whatcha all think?

Sorry to hear about your job so hands on money is more important than waiting to see if it would sell on eBay. This is what I would do.

I don't know anything about your vase but
last week we had a garage sale. I sold my Sterling Silver Jewelry, I did advertise that I had it, I did just as good as I would have on eBay. Think about your time, i.e. pictures, listing, then your fees, then the end of auction notices, if they pay immediately your packaging and going to the post office. Then if they don't pay right away you have to send other notices. I took that all into account and I made more at my garage sale on SS jewelry than I would have on eBay. You have your money immediately. There is no hassle as in a garage sale everything you sell will not be returned. If you feel your vase will get more money on eBay, try putting a higher price tag on it in your garage sale and see if it sells. You will be surprised if someone likes it they will pay your price. If they don't and you still have it then list it. Good Luck

I predict one of you first five customers will snap that up, no matter what you price it at. If you were local, my wife would probably grab it.

GAAWD How embarrassing! Dirty dishes in the sink. Last week's garage sale find behind it. A beer bottle behind it. (thank goodness it isn't opened) The beer is an old one that still has beer in it. It also goes to the G. Sale tomorrow. I was in a hurry, the sun was going down and I wanted to make sure I took the pics to post 'em here in case it's worth something. I remember seeing something like it in the past but where?????

Why not just put those dirty dishes in the yard sale also. It'll save you the trouble of washing them

OMG, dirty dishes. LOL! Don't let my boyfriend see that pic. I'll never get him to do mine! He'll just say, "If other people can have dirty dishes in the sink, why can't we?" My response? "Well, WE DO have dirty dishes in the sink. ALL THE TIME!"

Your vase is very retro. Not my style, but I'm sure there will be plenty of takers for it. I once had a similar one in amberina - my daughter swiped it the minute I brought it home and she's in her 20's.

As for your un-opened beer. . . My son set a 6-pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade on our front porch. It's still sitting there. I can relate! Oh, how I can relate. LOL!

your vase is in the shape that Fenton glass was putting out but this doesn't really look like Fenton. is it heavy? not all Fenton is marked so you might wan to check a book for it.

rarriffle, that is what I thought last night. It is a heavy vase, thick glass and has more color towards the edges of the rim if you can see by the fotos. Darker blue on the bottom andl ighter on the top. The top is not cylinderical. It's kind of oval. Almost like it was pressed and then stretched out some how. That's what the bottom reminds me of anyway. I looked through one of my 2 fenton books and couldnt find anything like it. I sure hope someone has a clue. I'll take a look at the other one after dinner and see if I can find it.

Paloma,
You must have done some editing. I somehow came across a copy of the photo before you could edit it. Here it is.

Stone, very cute! Except my little boy is a little older than that baby in the foto?

Max, you think this is Viking?
