last night I had one auction end. the high bidder had low feedback. today, there is no answer to EOA and his feedback is now private. stacking the negs like cordwood.

would you wait for the deadbeat to stiff you or go ahead and relist or make a second chance offer?

if I relist, i think the item will go higher because i have new info to add to the description. the man who wrote the patent on the item has emailed me with some additional information that i didn't have when i listed it.

thanks in advance for any advice or help here.

Sounds like you feel you'll do better on a relist than on a second chance offer.

Given that, if it were me I'd relist, as opposed to offering to the underbidder. Of course you do need to let the 7 days run.

If your current high bidder does respond to the EOA, which sounds doubtful, I think you have to sell it to them.

Do you have any time limit in your TOS for buyer to contact you? What you do ethically depends on what your published terms are.
I wouldn't jump the gun or assume that the buyer is a deadbeat till I gave him time to complete his end of the bargain. There's always another buyer for your product if this falls thru.
