right click on the desktop, go to properties, then the Settings tab,

look for the scroll with Screen Resolution.

And move it one notch over to the right to see if that fix the problem. If the screen doesn't seem to turn on.. then just wait 15 seconds and it'll auto revert.

i'm guessing thats the problem anyway.

duer,

Apparently you posted the same question 3 times to this board. I answered under another one of them how it may have gotten that way. Do you have a mouse with a scroll wheel? If so, go to your other thread with the same name. It's got the answer.

Deur,

I do understand about the entire screen being bigger, not just one item, then not fitting on the monitor display. That's what happens when I click with my mouse once on a screen in IE, then hold down control button and scroll the wheel on my mouse.

I can make the display way big, or way small, or in-between. It makes the display from way too big to see the whole page to way to small to easily read. It works so well in MS Excel, I can make a spread sheet into tiny specks or extremely huge where only a few cells show.

IF you have a mouse with a scroll wheel in the middle like mine, it can happen accidentally when you are holding the control button down for something else and accidenatlly scroll the wheel even one click. That's how I discovered how it works.

Anyway, glad you got the problem handled.

meadowlark - thanks! I kept having the text size change on my ie browser even when I first opened ..I do have a mouse with a scroll wheel and I must have enlarged something inadvertently and it then saved as a preference!

Neglus, you are welcome!

I discovered another trick by accident using the scroll wheel as well, but I just can't remember what the heck it was right now.

OH OH OH!!!!!

I've got it!!!

You can go forward and back from one web page to the next/previous by holding down "shift" and scrolling the mouse wheel.

Makes you wonder what other magic tricks it will do? Maybe I can train the free-wheeling little rodent to write auction listings?

What a cool thing. I'm having a blast holding down shift and using the scroll wheel. Geeze, I think I need to get a life.
