Good morning Jack

I didn't want you to think you were being ignored. I don't ship via UPS so I couldn't test the process to see what happens.

Maybe someone else will check it out. I am curious what the results were.

jackwebb I don't use UPS via PayPal, but have a UPS account/and daily pick up - BUT I am TERRIBLY curious as to what you found.

Actually, from time to time, I have found differences between my UPS Account total on a shipment, and the UPS site.

THEN, occasionally, it seems that the whole system does a momentary change. Just yesterday, I had a customer request 2nd Day Air UPS to Hawaii, and I check the total through my UPS Shipper program (a resident in computer program for regular UPS shippers), with signature, and it was $52.30 - BUT, when I was in the same program, making the label, it came up with $62.30! Same program with a $10 difference in shipping? Who knows.

Since UPS has a surcharge for non-daily pickup customers, we do not use them anymore.

It was our understanding a long time ago, you were able to insert your UPS account number into PayPal to get your account rates, instead of the standard rates they offer through PayPal.

A friend of ours claims he uses the PayPal feature, and it gives him his daily pickup rate, which would be the lowest rate they offer, ignoring any discounts for high volume customers.

Never Mind,,,,,I figured it out......The PAY PAL Corporation and a division of e bay has a COMMERCIAL UPS account.......Say the package is a $13.00 commercial account rate,,,Pay pay places the regular one time CONSUMER rate in their shipping button,,,,of $19.98....giving the consumer rate.

Hence pay pals statement on the bottom of the notice reads,,,,,You receieve the same great rates and service as if you had placed a UPS order right on UPS's web site.

Sure! If YOU don't have a commercial account. I do.

$19.98 consumer rate
$13.00 pay pals COMMERCIAL account rate.
$ 6.98 profit to pay pal.

PP tried Sooooooooo hard to keep me confused..

oh well,,,,,,,,so it matters not if you click the SHIP button in pay pal or do it directly on UPS, you'll STILL get the same great service and rates $19.98 and pay pal pockets $6.98.........If I,,,,,,,,,did not have this commecial account,,,,,,Id rather give UPS the total $19.98 than let pay pal get ONE more dime.

Thanks pay pal for giving your customers such a great break.
