Awhile ago you posted an address of a third party service that cashes British Postal Orders. You wouldn't still happen to have that address would you?

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Actually any UK based bank will encash them for free, or you can use the services of Eddie StClare who runs a sideline in international currencies exchange under the name of AuctionPix. They are also a AW/Vendio member - user name: lancashire
The URL is http://www.auctionpix.co.uk. Very nice people, and professional service. They have eBay tips on their site, too... from a UK point-of-view.
Good luck, old chap! (typed with a British accent)

Agit - the problem I have had opening a british based account is that all I have found require you to be a resident. If you know one that does not, pass em on : )
Thank for the referral on AuctionPix

I opened my last two UK bank accounts (few months ago) and there no requirement to be a UK resident. In fact as a non-resident you get income without deduction of tax if you fill out the appropriate tax form R105. Same goes for setting up accounts in most countries with major banks. You do need to supply copy of passport and utility statement, plus maybe bank reference from your usual bank, otherwise it's really straighforward (except with nosy US banks)...
