Hello,

We ship 50+ packages every week to international buyers. It seems like we
are having alot problems with Canadian packages arriving. All packages are shipped via Air Mail and we have had several people from Cananda saying they have not received their package...and its been around a month since we shipped. At one time we had a problems with people in the UK...but now its Canada. Anyone else having problems shipping to Canada?

Thanks!

I did in recent weeks..

packages would arrive all torn apart.. i ship the small items in regular envelopes via Airmail, so it can get thru custom fast without hassle.. it always works, until last month...

custom will open it up, and not put everything back in.. and occasionally little parts will fall out.. so people will email me and complain about missing parts.

i duno. although its a hassle, I'm starting to fill out the custom form again.. its a hassle and time consuming, but at least the mail gets there faster and without hassle.

at least so it seems so far....

I ship quite a bit to Canada and most of the time it can take up to 5 - 6 weeks for them to receive it. It gets tied up in customs. If you can send it in an envelope you are safe and it get there fairly quick, 10 days, but if it is a package the buyer just has to be willing to wait a while. In the meantime expect them to email asking where the heck is their package. You would think they would be used to waiting but they aren't.

more and more canadians want to save money,so they buy on internet.
Canadian govt is losing tax revenue,so they are looking at packages coming in.

Haven't had problems with Canada, only with the buyers who want me to ship items as gifts! I now address this issue in my end of auction notice now.

The only problem I've ever had was when I rolled a set of shipping boots up *very* tightly so they would fit into a smaller box than normal in order to save my buyer some cash on the shipping cost. The buyer finally got them in a different box than I shipped them in. It seems customs opened the box to inspect the contents and couldn't get them back into the box. They included an explanatory note to my buyer apologizing for not being able to get them back into the box properly. We both thought it was kind of funny.

Wow,
I was going to say it's a smaller list of things that are right with shipping to Canada as a joke, but it looks like it is becoming literal.

Personally so far the only problem I have had is the whiners wanting things shipped as gifts. I always ship air mail and never had an item take over 14 days.

Do you suppose the Canadian customs is finally wising up to the people requesting items sent as gifts and are now attempting to intercept these?

Just a thought.
