Learn something new every day. I would not have paid $1.00 for this, but look what it sold for! eek!

We were cleaning out the attic of my house today and I was washing a few of the things I wanted to keep - and I was researching a McKee custard Roman Arch Flour and Sugar shaker...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=94&item=3736025441&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW this matching salt and pepper shaker just closed out for $122.88! What's with these? I can't even remember where I got mine from or how much I paid. Now I'll have to decide if I want to keep them or not.

I did take them out of the dishwasher though, I decided I might want to hand wash them

I googled Vada's Steak House, came up empty.
Then I checked out Rosemeade & there doesn't seem to be anything special about it.
I have no idea why the fox went for so much, maybe it has something to do with Vada.

I wouldn't have paid a dollar either & if I had it I'm not sure if I would even list it.
It looks so cheap & poorly made.
Can't figure this one out.

it's the Rosemeade part. Evidently it's like Weller or Roseville....

Very limited production too, since it was for a steak house. Most Rosemeade that appears on eBay is much more common.

Yes, I guess it is the Rosemeade, but looking at closed auctions nothing even comes near to that fox.

I agree, it's got to be the steak house.

Apparently, one of the bidders specializes in Rosemeade as stated in their ME info. Maybe I might start hunting for Rosemeade, for those damn books.
