I envy all of you being able to go to these sales. I've not had many free days to go "saling" since summer began with the exception of estatesalestuff's tag sale (Hi, Marcia). The Kiwanis Club is holding their annual rummage sale for the next 10 days. It's huge and very cheap. Antiques, jewelry, collecibles, you name it and they've got it. I cannot even find one day in those 10 that I'll be free to go. Sigh, I made a commitment earlier to really enjoy the summer so we've pretty much spent it biking, hiking, visiting friends, having backyard gatherings, etc. I do love to hear about other people's finds, though! Good luck to all of you!

Garage sales? Good luck with that.

I'm staying home and cleaning out my closets. Figure I have a much better chance of finding something valuable rooting through my own junk than someone else's!

I thought I was buying Jerusalem when I bought some backdrops from a church yard sale today. Instead I got two adobe, 1 castle and one landscape. Think they're worth listing? They're about 12'X 15' on canvas.

Went to an estate sale and I found a 1960's Ironing board cover with bright red tulips. That is so neet. I love stuff from the 60's, Hankies, some plastic doilies. Now don't laugh about the doilies. A couple of weeks ago I found a craft book from the 50's with things made with plastic doilies. The book did okay on eBay but with the doilies it should do better. Got the doilies for 50 cents. The really good find was a Club Aluminum coffee pot, bakelite handles with the insides. New for $1.00.

At a garage sale my husband picked up a Clue Game and a Sorry game still in shrink wrap for 50 cents a piece. The Sorry game stays here because it is a great game for children to learn how to count.

I like these kinds of threads where everyone shares their experiences. Keeps the day going smooth.

I only got one good piece ...it's a Angel skin shell with seed pearls Cameo. I only know the formal name lol in case someone thought a grew a brain (snort) because one of the local antique sellers who collects cameos told me what it was. She said about 1915-1920 10k gold or gold overlay it has a rose tint to it. It tested 10k on my stone but I'll have the pawn shop guy double test it for me. Yeah me !!

I got several cheap audio books and a few new V.C. Andrews paperbacks at the Flea Market today but a lot of people went to the fair and the car show so not much was happening around here this weekend. I'm not going to post anything else on E-Bay until after the 127 yardsale ends.Thats going to be my vacation,Ha Ha.

The best things I found today were:

1. My car keys!! Couldn't find them this morning and was running late for work!

2. A hard peppermint candy in my purse! My mouth tasted yucky...I think I was happier about that than finding my keys!

..i enjoyed knowing more than seller on this one.

he told me, " this is a real globe bookcase, but the glass is broken; we used the pulls and the old scissors are missing..i am selling as it is" ...told me was some on ebay for $800...

my reply: there's a complete set, being sold in pieces, on ebay that equalled his item...i offered-he took 100 bucks.
