Ask your local post office branch manager to you give you their shipping boxes. All their supplies arrive at their branch in nice BIG and medium size boxes. Also, check out the Purchasing Dept at the nearest hospital, vetinary office and don't forget to tell all your Mary Kay and Shaklee friends to save their boxes and FOAM peanuts! I've never paid 1 cent for any box and neither should you! Good Hunting - Gordie

Try your local garden/gift store. They just throw them away. Well most stores do. I would stay away from produce boxes though.

Also I imagine Walgreens also has boxes. I have been shopping at Walgreens when they were stocking their shelves and they had some nice boxes. Of course I can always use boxes I asked for them and they gave them to me.

What are you looking for? Where do you live? I buy boxes from ULine. I also get boxes from Trader Joe's. Mostly wine boxes. They are sturdy & are easy to pack.

I found a small box manufacturing places to buy nice boxes for my larger. It is BEST PACKAGING in Coopersville, Mi 49404. I use to live in coopersville. They were cheap, made special small runs just for me. Business most places would have turned away.

I have a small convenience store next door to where I work. He's more than happy to give me his boxes. The boxes he gets beer shipments in are really quite strong. I raid his back room every now and again. I just wish he'd get something that comes packed in peanuts!

I buy mine from Uline. Fair prices and shipping and ultra-fast delivery.

For oversize boxes, you might check out one of those UPS MailBox stores. There's one here and they have very large boxes for sale. Several dollars apiece but worth it if you're sending something big.

My brother owns a framing company. His trash is a gold mine for me.

Occasionally I will need to buy a box or supplies from him.

If you know someone with a business, chances are they are probably throwing away good boxes. Copy paper boxes are good too and they come with lids.

I purchase mine from a surplus/used box supplier. Most of the boxes are new, but have something printed on them. I pay an average of about $.30 each for them. Price depends on the size. Most major metropoitan area's will have some sort of wholesale box store with this type of merchandise. They deliver to me for free if I order more than $50 worth. Often they have bubble wrap, and if they do I get that also from them. I save more on postage than I would using the free USPS Priority Boxes. Free boxes are great, but I never seamed to be able to find the correct one I needed when they were free.
