I got a buyer in Germany that needs to pay with a Master Card. Bidpay no longer accepts MC and it is looking like I will have to let him use paypal or do a bank wire transfer. (I don't like either)
It is $145 total

I've often used Western Union wire transfer for foreign bidders. If you have one near you, they likely do too as WU is all over the world. You just get them to e-mail the WU purchase order number, the payment amount, their address, go to WU & fill out claim form and they will print you out a check. No cost to you except getting to/from their outlet.

Payingfast appears to be gone.
I just looked at payko and I don't like the looks of it. I doubt I can convince the guy to pay with paypal to a different company and have an extra fee instead of just sending direct to me.

Exactly what did happen to WUAP with the Mastercards?

I am wondering if they found too many people were using their Paypal Mastercard Debit Cards and decided to block the competition. I never heard a reason why they would drop only Master Card.

Provided you are not in the US then moneybookers.com is a good service for OECD countries. Transfers are chargeback proof and can be in any nominated currency. Moneybookers (unlike PayPal) is EU regulated and licenced.

I just went there and it looks like it works in the US too. What problems do they have with US accounts?
Also, I couldn't find their fes. All I saw were the 1% that is capped at 1/2 euro. Wouldn't it cost them more than that to process the credit card?

whatnot- just curious, do you have any problem with international bidders who cry foul after an auction ends because you don't accept paypal from them?

I know I do, even though it is clearly stated in my auction description that I don't accept Paypal. I've even had some people tell me they won't pay unless I accept paypal, even though they read it and still bid.

I don't have a lot of international customers but whenever I get one from hong kong, china ,korea etc, I do into my account and block all international payments. They usually email and say that there is a problem with paypal then use bidpay.
I always accept paypal payments from Canada and will from Japan, Australia and the UK if the amount is fairly low.
The last time I sent something to Germany, after a week, the buyer started emailing me almost every day asking where it was. After 5 or 6 weeks they just quit emailing. I don't know if they ever received it or just got tired of the whole deal. (about $80 that time)

This time it is going by Express Mail and will probably just take his paypal payment.

if he is close to an american express office ,or even thomas cooks travel agency,he can buy you a draft there.
wiretransfer is actually not bad,it is fast but your bank will charge you an incoming wire fee.

Stop - incorrect. Australilia and many other nations offer USD money orders thru their post offices. Ironically, most are Western Union backed.
