Hi Neroter - I don't know who that is - Yellow Kid? But it is so whimsical, should sell well. I like it. Hope someone comes along with the answer.

OBVIOUSLY...

Baby Siddhartha pulling up the Sacred Carrot of Teop!

After he grew up & became da BUDDHA, he was affectionetly known as Ole Carrot Teop!

At least that's the story according to Ralphie's ashram!

earthmum,- how are you? - I know! - Just the look on his face. Something so cute about him! I think he was a comic or cartoon character somewhere along the line, 70ties or something?

I'm great, thanks! I think he's older than that, just by the way he is painted. That look on his face is reminiscent of Little Rascals, although I don't think he is one of them, just from the same era.

LOL cheryl and classic!!!! I think its supposed to denote like a sweat on his head! hahaah!! But thanks, that about mary reference sure gave me a laugh this am!

Stop, it doesnt say anything! No marking. nothing. The colors on the platorm are weird altogether. Only a felt bottom on it though reminds me of like the other older figurines earthmum speaks about.

It looks Chinese to me also. I think I've seen this style before.

What's it made of? Chalkware maybe?

Maybe it's Momotaro as seen on HGTV: Gardening with Peach Boy.

Or Momotaro Lives with the Bunnies, Eats Like the Bunnies...but does not, sadly Poop Like the Bunnies.

Maybe it's not Momotaro! Poor Momotaro!
Cute sweat droplets!

Heavens, is he standing on a spud with chedder and broccoli?

Do you suppose this doll was on the Conan O'brian Show? Property of the masterbating bear?

Just a thought.
