My boyfriend was showing my 5 yo daughter a picture of the hurricane on his computer. My daughter points to the center and says "that looks like an eye". My BF said "well, that's because it is the eye of the hurricane". My daughter says "why does it have an eye?" But before my BF could answer, my daughter says ...

"I know why it has an eye, daddy. So it can see where it's going!"

Have a nice day!

Reminds me of my youngest granddaughter who turned 3 two weeks ago. She just told her Mum, "I don't need to take a nap anymore, 'cos I'm 9 and I'm baby Jesus". Not sure how she gained 6 years, but she talks like a 9 year old, not surprising when you think who she is however!

when I first started dating my (now) husband, I was babysitting one of my girlfriend's son one afternoon. Terry came home from work and Ross - (a very old soul @ 6 years old), looked up at Terry and said "you're as big as God!"

My granddaughter is always saying the funniest things. We try not to laugh because she's so serious when she says them. Not long ago (she's 6), I was picking her up for school. She got into the backseat, plopped down and exclaimed, "Damn, I forgot my lunch". Her eyes got real big and she put her hand over her mouth. She finally realized what she said. It was soooooo hard not to laugh.

She's now in first grade and her teacher has a system that works wells for letting the kids know they're out of line. Each child has a calendar of the current month. Each day they behave properly in class, she stamps it with a smiling Mickey Mouse stamp. Today, Tiffany came home with a stamp of Mickey with the "oh, oh" expression. I asked her about it. Her response was, "Don't worry, grandma. I get two more chances before Mickey starts to cry". Turns out a crying Mickey stamp is put on the calendar after three "oh, oh" Mickies.

Hi everyone,

I'm sure you guys remember my son's Hindu wedding the end of July.

Anyway, Beth, my age 4 1/2 grand-daughter was part of the ceremony for her Uncle John. She led the bridesmaids, who traditionally scatter red rose petals down the aisle. Afterwards I complimented her on what a good job she did.

Her reply? "G'ma Lucy, I taught the BIG girls what to do!" Priceless... Oh, here's a picture of her. So serious, she knows how important it is to scatter those rose petals properly!

She's beautiful! What a doll! What memories you must have.

Here's Tiffany on her first day of 1st grade. Hard to believe it's been a year since I showed her kindergarten photo!

I didn't know what she had planned when I took this pic, but something was brewing in her mind.

She had let out a loud belch just before I snapped this shot. She tried to cover it up. LOL! Didn't work.

Don't these kids just make all the hassles of eBay seem not so bad!

My daughter tries hard to be involved in the eBay stuff I do but it's hard because she's only 9 and she can't really do much. So when we are in stores she'll see thigns and say "ooh this would be good for this and this would be nice for that". She sounds like a little version of me when she's looking at things and trying to "help" me pick things out.

She's something else
