I've been at this game about five or six years. A recurring frustration has been that I can't relist items that have scrolled off eBay's database (which currently only goes back about as far as May 2004). If I receive an item I last listed six months ago, I have to redo the whole auction including pictures.

(I have about 300 mb of image files -- to find one image out of that would take days!)

It struck me today: eBay Stores. What a perfect way to keep the data in eBay's database at a relatively low cost. True, I would have to keep one example of each item on hand in case something actually sold out of the store, but the data would all be there for just pennies a month. A couple of sales per month would pay for the whole shebang.

Doing your listings in a program like Turbo Lister would also keep the information "on file" and not cost you anything extra to do so.

Yeah, other than the $600 or so to buy a Winblows machine.

$600 buys a LOT of Good-til-Cancelled listings.

I keep all BBedit versions of my auctions in folders by date or type, depends on my needs. Each named for the item, not the number since that comes later.
I don't know how this would work for a volume seller, but it makes it much easier for my repeat items like books or images that click to be larger etc.

Couldn't you use Vendio images for less? They don't delete them now is I understand correctly.
