Well, we had the GRAND OPENING of our eBay STORE:

"Mr.Ralph's Eclectic Emporium of Earthly Delights & Chainsaw Art"

and now we need to drive suckers, I mean customers, to our doorstep!

Has anybody here coughed up the moola for the KEYWORDS thingy??

Worth it??

A total waste??

You would do better with a baseball bat or a MickeyFinn??

BTW: the contest winner was: Mr.D.B. Cooper, of Parachute, WA! Congratulations to Mr.Cooper!

Hi Tom,

If you mean Sellathon's ViewTracker, yes, I bought it. The keywords have definitely been VERY helpful.

Although I paid for a year, I guess you can sign up on a monthly basis. My thinking is after a year I'll know enough I won't need to subscribe again.

I've done them, but only because I get a certain amount free every quarter. I don't find a huge increase in sales and my money is spent within a week.

Tom

As a power seller you get $50 worth free when you sign up. That lasted me about a month.

I don't use them all the time, but business seems to pick up when I do. I got a lot of clicks. I think 24000 on the word dog the last time. It would be worth the free trial.

Hi Tom,

Oh, okay, I wasn't sure. I've not used those and maybe don't understand quite how it works.

I gather you get a banner and pay when someone clicks on it. It seems to me you'd want to buy keywords that are fairly specific to what you sell, as opposed to generic ones.

Say, Roseville as opposed to pottery. Does that make sense???

OK I had a blond moment. I would be in big trouble if I was an actual blond.

Anyway, I remember him. Just didn't get the connection. I was too young to pay attention when it happened. Enjoyed reading the details.
