Okay. I have been sitting here for nearly an hour trying to figure out my Endicia since I had to reinstall it.
I cannot figure out the layout thing. I've wasted almost $6.00 in postage THINKING I had it figured out when in reality I did not.
How do I get a basic layout from the layouts they have? I used First Class, Media and Priority Mail. On my old crappy computer I had a layout saved that would accomodate all three. The addresses were in the right spot, the Delivery Confirm was in the right spot.
Now I can't get a layout out of any of the ones there that is right. It prints off the side of the page, the numbers are cut off, the addresses are cut off. I checked in the help section to see if there was a "tip" on how to adjust, create or change a layout and unless I'm blind I can't find anything. I know it can be done because of the layout I had before but for some reason I'm not able to figure it out.
I really truly tried before asking - I want to learn to do more things computer wise without asking for help but I can't keep wasting postage and I have to get this stuff shipped pronto!
I thought I was the only one that COULD NOT figure the layout thing out
I finally just used a smaller size printed label (only match I could come up with) and cut it down from the half page actual sticky label
I can't figure out how to print two at a time so I can use both sides, I can't figure out what type I need to take the full half page, and I can't figure out where my DC's are stored.
I also haven't found the answers in the help. Since everyone else has it all figured out I decided I wouldn't look dumb and ask...just cancel them next month.
But, if someone can help us out maybe I'll hang in there. Thanks for asking what I wouldn't

Oh don't quit using it, it's great - I love Endicia, it's so convenient. I've NEVER had a problem with it until I reintalled it and can't figure out the layout thing. I don't understand what the red lines are about and why I can't "move" them around to make things fit where I need them too.

Well see what happens when you get up at 5 a.m. to figure something out. I figured out a label. Figured out how to take "confidential" off of the label. I'm using Label Universe Click and Ship Single but printing it on regular paper.
But I have it in stealth mode and I cannot for the LIFE of me get it to print now with the hidden barcode saying "Postage Fees Paid". My pages are printing without any indication of postage on them AT ALL!!!!!!

First you call UPS and get you some of those really nice 4 to a sheet labels
I use the Avery 5168 layout.
Under Postage/Options/Rate is a check box for PRINT POSTAGE.
Somewhere in there it remembers my last printed label and automatically goes on to the next label.
Or you can click New Layout and make a custom layout by putting in the size of the label you want. (Layout/Media/New or Setup/User defined)
Endicia has a super super nice technical help line if you call them toll free. They have stayed on the phone with me for up to 30-45 minutes until I finally got the label I wanted.
Gee Helga, didn't you use the TEST PRINT option? Or the refund request under Postage?

Now that's what I call hidden postage,lol!
PS, unless and until, I get back into selling a higher volume, I'm staying away from Endicia. PAyPal and Fedex are meeting all my postage needs without the hassles.

Actually I got a label sort of what I wanted this morning around 7 a.m. It's not the one I had before, which I really liked, and it's not exactly how I'd like it but it works enough that I was able to get my labels and stuff printed and my stuff mailed today.
I didn't realize you could make a custom label, that's excellent. Their customer service isn't there on the weekends though so I wouldn't call until this week sometime. I'm going to stick with what I've got for now since it worked but I do want to make one that looks like they did beforehand

I used Endicia for over 2 years, but when the major Upgrade occurred, I couldn’t get the thing to download, regardless of what I did.
I was already TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH U-PIC INSURANCE and since I had switched 99% of our shipping to UPS, as it was easier, insurance, signature all in one step, I decided to dump Endicia.
I wrote Endicia and told them the problems I was having, and but nothing but more instructions.
I had written U-Pic Insurance for an accounting of their bill at least 7 times, with no response, and that did it. Our shipping via Endicia went from 400 to 500 shipments a month to 10, and our bill was still the same from U-Pic!!
I finally dumped both systems. It wasn’t worth the cost to use Endicia with the very limited USPS shipping we now do, and with U-Pic acting in a totally irresponsible manor and refusing to give an accounting, there was no insurance, and we would be back to filling out those stupid USPS forms, so thank heavens for UPS, which we have also used for years, with a daily pick up, and little to no problems, and a CLEAR, FIRM accounting.
AND when I mess up a UPS label, I can instantaneously void it, or void it later, it is too much of a hassle the Endicia way.
