Since last night, my paypal notices have not had addresses in them. I have to look at the message details on the website for the address..I am wondering if this is now a universal change for paypal? If so, it is very annoying!

I received a payment this morning with the same problem. I thought it was just a fluke. Paypal is having problems this morning though so maybe this isn't a change just a hic-up in the system due to problems.

Two of three PP payments I got this morning did not have the addresses with the e-mail, but I just managed to get into the very slow PP website, and the addresses are with the payment history there.

Ditto. I decided to wait a while and then go to PP and get those addresses.

HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED... in my opinion.

Someone over at PayPal switched around the payment notifications to not include shipping info by default. Perhaps to get more traffic to the PayPal site and get sellers to use shipping methods that go through paypal, I dunno.

Now, every seller has to log into paypal to get the shipping address. So, the servers are over loaded keeping up with 10x the normal logins and page views. Thus... paypal is reeeealy slow right now and will be until they either fix the email thing or upgrade the servers.

My 2¢,

-Rob

Eagle: I'll bet your right on what happened!

I just went in to PayPal, got buyers' addresses and transferred some money out, all as fast as usual, so they appear to have had a healing service or something. . . .

Wow! Same here ... just got a payment with no address on it!!! ... that's why I went over to Paypal to see what's up, and it is SLOW and difficult to log-on.

I always go into PayPal and get my payment information - the emails just aren't reliable and I like to get them all at once. I "file" them after I get the information so the only items showing are the unshipped items.

I would hope that the PayPal servers are large enough to handle sellers logging in to get the addresses!

I think Meg must be working overtime hiring people to screw things up at eBay and PayPal. Not one payment notification today had an address in it. I guess Meg figures ebay sellers have nothing better to do with their time than spend the day sending emails to paypal paid customers asking them to send their addresses! It is laughable how badly run the eBay empire is and only a matter of time before it will run out.

You don't have to email buyers to find out their addressses! You can sign in to PayPal and in the acccount overview is a list of all payments received. Click on details and the addresses are there! As an alternative, you can click on "payment details" at the top of the listing page and the buyer's address is there!

BTW...last week when the Item NOt Received Announcement came out, I emailed the contact at the bottom of the Announcement and copied [email protected] - didn't get an answer from meg, but the email didn't bounce back! Who knows...??

I wonder if this is an 'improvement' that got installed without notice?

This is driving me nuts! I have processed 50 orders this way, it is REALLY slowing me down! I can't believe there is no official notice if there is an error, or if it is an "enhancement" - wait, I take it back, I do believe they suck at communicating a problem.

I noticed it also. Then, when I went to my Vendio Sales Manager, I noticed that the buyers had completed the checkout, so I got their addresses from there. It appears that if they complete the checkout, then the PayPal comes as "PayPal Shopping Cart Contents".

And why Paypal doesn't have a Systems Update or System Announcements area on their website is absolutely beyond me. They obviously know this is happening and that people are grumbling about it, but not a peep from them. That sucks!
