Hi all,
I just opened up a new store with Ebay directly. I have researched but can't find the answer. Thought that you all could help me.

When you list in your store, are the listing always buy is now's. I have viewed other stores where I see a listing price with a buy it now. I don't necessarily want all buy it nows.

thank you,
rosanne

Ebay store listings (the ones that cost 2 cents) are all BuyItNow. When you click to see someone's store, you will see all listings, both store and auction - but the store listings can only be BINs.

Hi Neglus,
Thank you. I was hoping that you would respond. I primarily sell books and after the light bulb finally click on upstairs, I realize that I needed to open up a store since the books may take longer. I offer out of print and hard to find books so a week just doesn't cut it at times.

So it is just a matter of knowing what you should list in your store with the set BIN price then use the regular auction for items that you hope would have a bidding war.

I need to sit down to start reading the store boards on Ebay to pick up hints.

Since Ebay changed things for Books back in May then tried to right it, my sales just haven't returned. It is the point where I may need to look for a normal job.

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

thank you,
Rosanne

Reading the store boards is a good idea - great tips there for cross-promoting your items and getting your store picked up in search engines ( I still need to work on that)that you won't find in ebay seller's guide.

I wouldn't get too hung up on store design at first - time is better spent listing and stocking your store. You will need to run auctions to draw buyers to your store - promote your store shamelessly (with prominent direct store links) in those auctions!

You should think out a plan for your store categories so your store is easy to navigate and probably elect to use the Custom Store header so links to your store will appear at the top of all your listings..I don't know anything about book pricing and stores - maybe someelse will come along.
