Hello all -

Quick question. Buyer just purchased an item from me, and emailed me about charging the shipping to his FedEx acct number since he is a FedEx employee. This is a first for me...and if I remember correctly, someone posted here before about potential problems with such a setup.

Anyone have any insight on this? Is it safe to do, or am I potentially setting myself up for problems? I haven't responded to him yet.

Thanks!

I've done that many times at work never had a problem. <P>Can't for the life of think how it could back fire on you. But then again some silly litle Ebay or Fed X rule will let it come back to bite you later on. Anyway I'd go for it....

Just as long as they pay the charges otherwise the bill comes back to you

There are many that will tell you not to do it because of the reason mentioned above (charge coming back to you) but there is a very simple way to avoid that problem. Put the buyers name and address in both the "Ship to" and the "Ship from" sections. That way whether they try to bill sender or reciever, they are billing the same person.

Thanks for all the replies! Dollar amount is just $50, but the buyer sounds like he's on the up and up, so I've decided to go for it. I'll let everyone know if there are any problems!
