So we have any sports fans on the board?
Debating whether or not to list this jersey. It says Russel and looks authentic but does not look like any of the ones listed. Think it would qualify as vintage? It is a heavy white denim and looks much better than in my picture. The Russel jerseys listed have a red band on the sleeve. Mine has a Russle logo on the right sleeve and Chief Wahoo on the left sleeve. (Forgive the shot, this is just a quickie shot for the board)...

OT...also noticed this buyer. Their Me page is a real education!

The ones you are seeing with the red ring and no Don Russ logo are the Mitchell & Ness Throwbacks of the 1969 Indians jersey. Looks like yours is one of the actual jerseys. (go to the Indians website and look at tsome of the older pics - no red ring) I would do a little research and see if you can find out the period that those jerseys were used to give it a good date range.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

I've done sports memorabilia for 25 years now, and can tell you that this is just a regular retail mall or sports store jersey. I've probably sold over 2000 jerseys in the last 5 years.

There is nothing special about this jersey. It is mass produced by Russell Athletic, and is probably no more than 5-6 years old at the most. New, these cost between $45 and $75. You would be lucky to get $20-30 for it if you take real good photos, it is in excellent to near mint condition, and it is an XL to 2XL size. Make sure to mention that the letters and logos are sewn in and that it is a button down. If you can get good closeups, I would recommend showing the stitching up close.

Sorry if you might have thought it was worth much more than that.

Hi Rusty,
Thanks for the info. I really did not think there was anything special about this jersey. I just wanted to make sure that I was not selling something that was a fake or not an authorized product.
I would love to get $30 for it. It is a good quality shirt, in good condition. I love the heavy cotton ones.
I just did not know if it was worth listing. I'll think I'll give it try. $20 is worth the 15 minutes it would take for me to do good pictures of it. Your help is much appreciated!

And thanks to Fenix also. I checked their website but did not find any jerseys that looked like this.

Nothing wrong with listing it as a Jersey. Just don't say anything like game worn.

When I do jerseys, I simply describe all of the logo's on the shirt, and the size. That works well for me.

I have also found out the hard way that anything smaller than large is worthless. You can hardly give it away. Large, Extra Large are best and XXL does well too.

Guess, I got lucky, it is a large. I'll see how it goes and thanks for all the help. I may just hang on to it until I run the baseball. That will probably give it better hits.
