January 4th I bought 4 different auctions of fabric from a powerseller with over 10,000 transactions.

I paid immediately, approximately $20. I got an email in return telling me thanks for your purchase, I'm in another state until JANUARY 15th WITH MY SICK FATHER and I'll take care of this when I get home. Now first, had I realized it would be nearly 2 weeks after I paid that I would get my items I would have bought elsewhere or waited to pay until it was closer time. During this time, this seller continued to list auctions and I started getting emails asking for payment, reminding me of my purchases. I'm not talking 1 email, I got 6 of them in that duration.

I emailed the seller, telling her I had paid, giving her the PayPal information and she said the emails were "automated" through eBay and she couldn't control them. Does she not see that I sell too and they all have the words "Andale" on them? That I know they aren't from eBay? I didn't just fall off the turnip truck.

So I email her last night and ask if she's sent my package. She sends an email back and asks me if I've paid and how. I replied AGAIN with my Paypal information and didn't hear back from her.

This mornign I get ANOTHER EMAIL FROM ANDALE telling me I have not paid and to remit payment immediately. I again sent the PayPal information.

Should I file with PayPal to prove to this nutcase that I paid? She has a lot of stuff I'd be interested in buying in the future but never again. I've never been so frustrated.

Am I being impatient? I would never do this to my buyers.

File now with paypal and get her attention... she may really be busy with a sick father and just doesn't want to be bothered and knows after 30 days PP won't do anything.

I just filed with PayPal. If she will acknowledge that I've paid and tell me my package is sent (with proof of delivery) I'll close it.

I dont mind the sick father thing, it's not like I have no sympathy, it's the fact that she continues to email me asking for payment when I've already made payment that ticks me off.

Through PayPal isn't she supposed to ship within 7 days?

Yes, if she wants seller protection.

Yep!

If she cannot prove to PayPal that she shipped to a confirmed USA address with online tracking (DC) within 7 days -- SHE'S SOL! And you should get yer moola back pronto...

SHe just sent me an email telling me she shipped my package this morning (after the PayPal notice and my email?) and wanting to know why, as a seller myself, I could not understand a family emergency.

I told her I DID understand that, and while I think it was in poor taste to continue to list while she was at her fathers in another state when she wasn't fulfilling her other obligations of completed sales, I was more upset with the constant emails asking and demanding my payment when it was made immediately the beginning of January.

I'm not trying to be a PITA and I do understand family emergencies (hello, I'm the queen of things gone wrong) but if you can't keep track of what you sell and what has been paid and not paid you should either not be selling so much or have another system to use.

She really should have stated that shipping would be delayed in her auctions. I understand that she may still want to list and should have every right to do so as it may be her only source of income or something, but the bidders should know they will be waiting on the shipments.
You are right to be upset about the emails but this could be a very stressful time for her and maybe this is not her norm.
If it was me - I would complete the Paypal charge back but I would email her that if she wants to complete the sale after the family emergency is over and all is back to normal, to let you know. You may find that she is a great seller and you will be a repeat satisfied customer

Under the circumstances, I wouldn't close the PayPal dispute until you receive the package. She may be a very good seller going through a bad time, but she could also be making excuses. It doesn't hurt to be careful. If there is one thing I have learned from eBay it is not be too trusting. There are people who will lie about anything.

I'm not going to close the dispute until I get my package. How do I know if she's responded to it, do I get an email from PayPal?

The email she sent me told me I needed to be more compassionate and since I was a seller too I should understand things come up.

I tried to tell her I KNOW THAT but what royally chalked my board was the constant almost hounding emails asking for payment when I had alreayd sent it ~ immediately at the end of the auction. I dont send that many emails to NPB's let alone someone who's bid and paid immediately!

So we'll see what happens. It really upsets me though beucase she has a lot of great stuff and I would have been a repeat customer had this have not happened.

The question should be when aren't you impatient?

Bite me Stone

You don't know anything about me and nothing I've ever posted should leave you to say something like that to me. You are an @ss to me and many others on this board. Go to the eBay sellers board where there are many others just like you.

I think that seller is mis-managing auctions.

Reminders from 3rd party services don't just magically appear. They get initiated by the seller so they did NOT connect your payment to your auctions......

Did you simply pay directly through paypal or did you use their checkout then pay from a link from there? If you used a checkout then their system should have automatically matched payment to the listings in the control panel.

For you to be inundated with constant reminders shows their disorganization and THEIR impatience.
