I have spent 2 hours trying to edit my store. Under the header, I have 3 categories, each has an auction and picture for the different categories that I sell in. I have sold 2 of the items, and need to change them. I have messed up the HMTL so much now, that I just don't know where I am. Is there an easy way of changing to a new auction and picture?

amber, did you originally set them up through vendio? ... are they good-til-cancelled with more than 1 available? ...

If I understand you right you want to feature item out of each category you sell in.

From Manage Store, click on Custom Pages. You will be given a chose of different layouts for the page. After that you can choose the item or items you want to feature. You can also set your preferences on that page to replace the item if it is sold. You can set up a custom page for each category.

If this is not what you want, go into a little more detail.

Debbie: I go to "manage my custom pages", then "edit". I get all the Item showcases set up, click on "continue" There is a text section, but I don't know what to put in there. I get to preview content, click on
"save and publish". But it doesn't appear in my store, and I don't know how to get it there. I really appreciate your help.

Above the text section is where you pick the items.

It should show Item Showcase 1. You can choose to pick your own items or let the system pick them. Under criteria you can pick from which category you want the items to come from and whether you want them to be store items or auctions.

In the text section, you can write an introduction or description, maybe a sales pitch. Whatever you want.

I am working on mine now. Take a look at. It may give you a better idea of what goes where.

Your store looks great. Somehow, I have completely changed my layout without wanting to. Before, under my heading, the name of my store, I have 3 small pictures showing in 3 of the categories that I sell most of, each one had one item, and a clickable place for more of the same. Now I have a second store name under the other one, and I have to click on that to find the 3 boxes. I think these must be promotional boxes. I would like to have the ones back that are just there when someone clicks on my store, I don't think people would look under the extra name.

I think this is where you need to go.

Hey Tom

When I look at your store it goes way off the page. I have to scroll over to see it all. Maybe you should use a smaller font. That would make your categories smaller also.

noooo.... i disagree ... i agree i have to scroll over to see the side=by-side listings and that is not fun to do, but i think the font size is perfectly normal ....... i think you should edit that instead of side-by-side, have them listed in a row, one under another ... i know there is a setting for that somewhere in Stores.

I'm pretty sure THAT has to do with yer SCREEN RESOLUTION, & not how I have the store set up, as it fits perfect on BOTH my DESKTOP & Ralphie's laptio, which are both set at: 1280 x 1024...

How old are yer monitors & video cards??

but how come you think your categories look "squished", Tom? .... to me, they look about the same as mine. ... and so I take that to be 'normal' LOL ... (aha! maybe that's where I'm mistaken!)

Tom

My computer is several years old. It only goes to 1024 X 768.

I personally like the two column better. I guess it's a matter of taste.

Yo!Stuffy!

They all run together...I woulkd like at least a SPACE between each or some BOLD, or sumptin to make them a bit easier to distinguish one from each other...

A few weeks ago, somebody showed a store with super-KEWL store categories, but I couldn't figure out how to do it...

TOOTS: the Ralphie Box is 1235 across, so even if I change to 1 column, ye still gonna have to scroll, just because of yer SR......SORRY:

Tom

I think the one you are talking about was a blank Promotion Box that someone customized with HMTL. Fenix said she set hers up like that too.
