Can anyone recommend a good message board to
get help with a MAC G5 with OSX operating system?

Any help you can give will be most appreciated. Thanks so much.

Is this a new G5, under 1 year old? if so, It is still under warranty and you can CALL apple for help. What kind of problem are you having?

Otherwise, try applecare. Here is link to one parts of their site:

I got Apple Care on both of our G4 computers and got my money's worth out of them. I have had some luck going to Google and describing the problem I am trying to solve. I found some sites that helped that way but don't still have the links. I am sure you have tried searching the Apple site already.

Good luck with your search.

AJ - as you can see - you have the ear of some Mac users here. What is the problem you are having - maybe we can help.

Replay - RE: Mini Mac - I'm planning to get around and go down to the Mac Store (which is actually a very dangerous place for me - kid in a candy store n all) to check one out. The concept of a budget Apple is a great one and I think that the design is going to catch a lot of attention from people making their first venture into Mac World. I'm still planning on getting the Powerbook for myself though and then figure out if I want to sell my old G4 or just clean it up and hand it down to my step. It has Photoshop and every imaginable extra filter/brush/etc loaded sot it'll guarantee hours of peace an quiet for my mother while he gets lost in them. He may think it is a gift to him but my mother and I know who truly benefits

There are lots of great Mac forums. MacNN has great general purpose forums, while dealMac has forums focused on finding great deals, but lots of helpful regulars there, and a great comunity feel. MacFixit is focused on solving problems that come up with Macs, so that's a good place too. Finally, Macintouch is handy for reading human-reviewed summaries of common problems that crop up on Macs.
