I noticed in the past few days that I'm getting eBay store items returned in a search far more often than I used to.
I understood that you'd only see store items if your search returned less than 11 results. Now I've seen searches with 16 or even 19 results that show Store items.
Have they increased the parameters to offset complaints about Store fee increases?

Yes - they increased the parameters to appear if the search yields less than 20 items.
