Who was your strangest buyer that you're convinced was off their medications? I have apx 2,000 auctions and believe that 3 or 4 buyers were either off their meds or from some other planet.

We had a plastic thermos with the logo of a well know company in our store. We got a question from someone identifying themselves as "a french company specialized in gynaecologies products" asking if the thermos would be suitable for keeping a "medical product...preserved at 37 degree".

My sister and I had some fun speculating on what kind of "gynaecologies products" would fit in our thermos.

Reminds me...

When I was 15 (summer '65) I spent my first summer away from home working at a boys' camp in MAINE...

My buddy & I were hitch-hiking back from the Skowhegan State Fair & were picked-up by a "fella" who told us he was a "jock-strap salesman" --

THAT ain't the half of it, because he then asked if we would like to..."model his samples..."

Ya didn't know that Tom used to be an Olympic sprinter, didja??

When I sold Mark's "project car" someone actually asked if I would sell them just the title and VIN number plate! I replied (adding it to my auction) that the new owner of the car would probably think that was a pretty important thing to have when they went to register the car....Wonder why I didn't hear back from him?

I just had someone ask me the following question:

"I see the auction for the WIDGETS has ended. Do you intend to re-list the item? I can't go as high as your earlier starting bid but I'm curious to see what you re-list it for. Thanks."

In my listings I have large headings for Size, Condition, Age, etc. with complete details for same. I will still get: "What is the condition?", "What is the size?", "What is the age?".

Not really a question but a buyer (winner) wanted me to ship a Jackie O Style White Fur Hat to a bank address w/attention Richard XXXX instead of his address as that was who he brought the hat for anyway!!! Hope the guy wasn't still in the closet!!!

One of my items up right now is an antique china cup that is not marked. The description notes this. There is a picture of the bottom of the piece, as well. Anyone care to venture what question I just received on this one?

too many to mention but I did have a funny email from a European bidder who thought I was selling the personal belongs of a certain celeb (who is currently on the news everynight due to his court case). This bidder told me I should be ashamed to be selling these items and I should give them back!

I could be wrong but didn't Classicrock000 say at one time in a thread about 3 or 4 months ago that he was a jockstrap salesman from Skowhegan??
