Has anyone seen this new thing that Ebay is sending to sellers when an auction closes.
At first my reaction was, oh no, what has ebay done now? But after reviewing it and giving it some thought, I kind of like it.
They put the buyers full name and address in that notice for the seller to see. Two advantages that come to mind. First is you get the persons address so you can figure shipping right away and also if it is an international bidder too.
Second is, you get their name. With that, you can personalize your WBN a little more by adding their name to it.
With all of the negative things that ebay has done to their site, and I have jumped on them for it, I also must give credit when they do get something right.

The only problem I see is that sometimes bidders have different shipping address than the one they have on file.

EOA notices I have been getting don't say that! They have a new format but they say:
Dear neglus, user name (real name - Cora, WY United States) has agreed to purchase this eBay item on Feb-24-05 11:53:11 PST. The buyer has been asked to pay for this item using your accepted payment methods. To help receive your payment faster, you can send an invoice, or contact the buyer directly within 3 days
If the buyer requests a total before I can send an invoice I get "please send me total" ...are you getting those on every transaction?

I haven't even read any of those lately. I must have missed that. It does sound like a good feature - I only wish it was available during an auction.
