NOT Ebay related unless you count the fact that he's on my ME page.
My Yorkie Stetson is missing. He's been gone since 3 and it's almost 6 now.
I've called all the Vets, the Humane Society and the newspaper.
Please say a prayer that he returns home safely.

I am so glad, I know that non dog or pet lovers cannot relate, but I can! My Kobe is part of the family and spoiled rotten, he is the boss around here. 12 pounds of sheer trouble.

After he explains where he was, please post his story here. Maybe some of us can use it on our wives.

Thank you. I cannot believe he was gone for 3.5 hours. Our yard is mostly fenced in and he is micro-chipped with AVID micro chip through Yorkie Rescue. I was horrified to find out this afternoon that our local humane society cannot "read" an AVID chip.
I was standing in the back door on the phone with a Yorkie Rescue member and he came strolling out of the bushes in the back yard.
The most he's ever "disappeared" has been for 45 minutes and I could still hear him barking in the woods. Unfortunately we are surrounded by woods. He has not barked one time all afternoon and I have had my hearing aids turned up on high all afternoon.
I will have to find out how to make sure our local shelter has a micro chip reader. They are free to them if there is a local vet that has an AVID chip reader also.

I know how you feel GG - my little Saint was lost for over a week. They say if they are gone for more than a day - well chances are slim that you will get them back. My Saint spent 4 days with a crazy lady who wanted a reward after she put him out the 4th day in her yard with her 2 Doberman (he's 10 lbs dripping wet) during a storm that produced a tornado that touched down on her neighbors' garage. Of course he found an escape route and was back on the run for 3 more days. Her reason for wanting the reward was "at least he ate well for 4 days" - I felt like hitting her!!!!
Poor Saint has never been the same.

Glassgrl...I am so glad little Stetson is home! I have two Yorkies (old timers) and I can't imagine losing them that way. I don't know how your little Stetson behaves, but if he is a typical Yorkie he has the courage of a lion and has no idea that he is so small. My male Rocky has no sense and would nip at the heels of the neighbors huge Rottweillers if they happened to venture into our yard! Thank goodness he's home safe and sound. Maggie

My first reaction to the OP was "Does he have a chip?" It is hard to believe your local society can not read them. Our precious Lacy has one and it makes me feel a little more secure.
So pleased with the happy ending!

I think I know where Stetson was. We are surrounded by Pine trees, palmetto bushes and brambles/briars. You know the kind that grows those little berries like blackberries? I think he was hung up in the briars. That was my first thought when I woke up this morning. When I finally let him down yesterday he started rolling over and over on the carpet. And I saw him get tangled up in some other day out by the garden and he just froze and I had to go out and pull them off him.
He loves to wander out in the bushes and look for squirrels and he has hidden out there before from me – I could see him ducking down behind a tree like a kid would do – you know – if they cover their eyes and they can’t see you then you can’t see them kind of thing. But then he was on the other side of the house and the dogs next door were barking at him, which is how I found him. Stetson just doesn’t always come when I call him.
I can't wait until WOZ gets up and running. GPS tracking chips.

Hope that this puts a smile on all the yorkie or any dog lovers.
These sweet little babies belong to my bestfriend. The dog in the middle is the dad, Max at 3 3/4#, the larger dog to the left is Sasha, the mom at 7# and the littlest dog is Gracie, puppie of Sasha & Max, at 3 1/4#. They have other seasonal clothing.

Yes, they sometimes bark when they are outdoors and mostly at other dogs or birds. I told her that she should be in the back yard with them when they are outdoors as we have a few hawks, herons, cranes and other wild birds that just might see them as a tasty morsel.
She just purchased a new female puppy last week. After raising the others from little pups, apparently the new one is a hell raiser, climbing over their pen walls and chewing up stuff and creating general chaos but it is all good.
