What a PITA - I have been working all am and only am half-way through!!! If you ask me PayPal is well worth the fees!
Fenix - does your post-sale management import the buyer's address from ebay on mailed in payments? It seems it would be so easy to do ("View Payment Details"as ebay has it right there on every item!

It seemed to me some people use the ole I'll mail ya the payment to post pone paying for the auction. It was taking over a month to get payment from some of these people. With the fact that you can get a phoney money order and your bank will charge you bad check fees on it after they have held the damn thing for 10 weeks against your account. It isn't worth the hassle,I now do Paypal only.I now wake up less grouchy in the morning, and don't have the sent the bloodhounds out looking for payments.

Neglus: Auctionsagesoftware does. It makes it soooo much easier to match up. And, I don't have to type them in.

Thanks myfavorites - I may have to look into that. I don't type addresses either but do have to go to "View Payment Details" in ebay and copy and paste onto my packing slip - there's a link to the listing in Vendio post-sale but then I have to click on "view payment" details to get to the place with the address.
I wish Vendio would give up the idea of reinventing the wheel and just interface with ebay checkout better! There really is no need for all these other check-outs when ebay has a very usable one in place!
It seems like Vendio has lost their "edge" in leading the marketplace (except the gallery - that's very cool and best in industry IMHO) and simply are not keeping in step with the "new" ebay!
Back to the shipping ...

Probably with the amount of fees that you pay why not write Vendio an email and suggest the changes. I am sure they are open to anything that will make your life easier.
I understand, I take mail in payments but I have never had to wait for any. They always come right away. But you can also do PayPal only. You have to weight what is the difference between on line payments and mail payments. How much would you lose. That is what you have to decide.
Good Luck

I like mailed in payments. So far so good, with no crooked ones. I feel I give enough of the piece of the pie out between all the 'services'. Its nice not to have to "pay-off" paypal every once in awhile too.

Send me all those mailed in payments. Heck, with the completely outrages fees of PayPal with no real seller protection, it is well worth the wait.

Neglus - to be very honest, I don't know. All of my payments right now are via PayPal so I disabled the redirect to avoid too much redundant info. I am going back to my merchant account in the next week or two I think but in I'll see if I can find that info for you in the meantime. I know it didn't use to but they have been making a lot of upgrades lately.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

To keep in step with eBay they would have to step on their richard every third step and then slide back two.

Neglus and Fenix...
Just to anwer the original question, No, "that service" does NOT import mailed payment address from anywhere. You still have to type in the address manually.
OR you can use "checkout redirect" and have them go through the MW checkout, filling in all the information themselves. About half of my mailed in payment people actually do this. It's better than nothing.

I hate it when someone wins something for a penny, sends a SASE for shipping, and doesn't even bother to send the 1 cent payment.

Now THAT'S what I call cheap! Never had that happen to me fortunately...
