Is there a real advantage to upgrading to the $50. level on my ebay store?
What level does one have to be at in order for your store to be advertised when a buyer does a search ...ie, if I sell videos and I do a search for video tapes, I always get a bunch of store logos on the top of my search results page..... what does that cost?

The ebay store logos at top of your page may be Key word campaigns - you get $100/quarter with featured store (I think) and EVERY store owner gets free $100 right now (have to sign up for them) I STILL don't know if featured store is worth it! I upgraded in April( since the basic store subscription fee was going to be refunded for month of April I decided that I could afford the experiment yet another time). My store sales have been good but I still can't say that they are BETTER than they would be with a basic level subscription. I am going to try another month. Here are the tangible benefits:
1)You get your name hihglighted in *PURPLE* in a list of stores under the categories.
2)You get more custom pages for your store. The more pages you have the more links you have - the higher you will rank in Google search
3) Your items will appear "higher" in search results when less than 20 items are delivered - but the LOWEST priced items still appear FIRST so I guess your name appears first in your price.
4) you get free keywords campaigns
5) you get more detailed store reports
6) you get Sales Manager Pro for free (I don't use Sales Manager)
That being said, the upgrade probably isn't worth it unless you were going to purchase the keywords or Sales Manager anyway.

You get TONS of information in your ebay store reports - lots of new ways to sort data....NO WONDER it takes so long to navigate ebay!!
Here's a copy and paste of the top 10 (there are 34 results!) of my store views by monitor resolution:
Monitor Resolution Visitors %
1. 1024 x 768 17,053 53.7%
2. 800 x 600 9,124 28.7%
3. 1280 x 1024 2,639 8.3%
4. 1152 x 864 979 3.1%
5. 1280 x 800 510 1.6%
6. 1400 x 1050 259 0.8%
7. 1400 x 864 237 0.7%
8. 1600 x 1200 177 0.6%
9. 1600 x 1050 148 0.5%
10. 1280 x 768 119 0.4%
Nice to know - but for cripes sake! I wish ebay would let em just get in to see my items without grabbing all this info from every user!!!!
