I picked these two items up for a couple of dollars and was wondering what you might call the large item...crock?? It's unmarked, 9" tall 8" accross and really heavy. The small bowl is marked Roseville but has a pressure crack .....thanks!

I found quite a few in the closed auctions... some sold, some didnt. Dont know what was difference....

Is there a hole in the top of the lid... like a butterchun would have? I love the color - is it a aqua or turq blue? my kitchen has aqua blue stuff in it, and it would go nicely!!!

CWB, there is no hole in the lid. I also was thinking it was a churn when I first saw it. As far as the color goes, I am semi-colorblind (lol)but it looks off-white but your guess is probably better than mine!
Classic, I am watching Mike & The Mad Dog RIGHT NOW and C Russo is KILLING the Yankees!!! Yes they stink OUT LOUD. I saw this flame-out coming for a while now. I still say they win 92-96 games...

The crock was made by Robinson Rainsbottom pottery in ROSEVILLE OH. Very common and still being made. The other item is a cookie jar.

RRP is Robinson Ransbottom and while collectible, not anywhere near value of most other potters of that area. People often get fooled by the Roseville and think they have a piece of Roseville Pottery.
