Several months ago my son made the comment that our refrigerator was not very cold inside. We had noted food not lasting long inside, etc. So I begudingly bought a new refrigerator. Wow what a difference. Food lasts. Things are crisp and cold.
Last week my monitor lost a gun and every thing looked blueish. I tried everything but finally bought a new state-of-the-art monitor (flat panel extra good quality)
I then realized like my old refrigerator that my old monitor had been sick for months. I though it was my tired eyes, my age, etc. Was just a poor but still working monitor!
So the moral here is reconsider your tied old monitor and if you replace it get a top of the line one. You will be amazed at the difference while ebaying.

Been there, done that. I bought a new fridge 2 yrs ago & Just bought 19 in LCD flat panel monitor. What a difference in picture quality. Video monitors are a thing of the past.
