Just venting!
The last three transactions with newbies have been disasters. Items significantly different than described. Items packaged poorly. Items not even sent.

My fault for buying from newbies, I guess.
Thanks for the vent.

Remember to report them to eBay as Non-Performing Sellers if they don't ship yet have your money. I'm in the same situation and just getting ready to file a police report on them, as are several other of their buyers; strength in numbers

As far as the items being not as described, and not packed well, there's not a lot you can do. Concerning the item not sent, depending on how you paid, Paypal or check/MO you have recourse. If by Paypal, follow the standard complaint routine. If you mailed payment in the form of a check or money order, the Post Office inspectors can often get their attention and help speed up the processing of your order. It's usually the last sentence that mentions the $250,000.00 fine and the 10 years in a Federal pen for using the service to commit fraud that gets them motivated to haul their ass to the P.O. and get your item shipped.

Yes, I too bought something from a Newbie Seller. He charged an outrageous shipping charge stating he shipped insured priority. A week after my paypal payment, I asked the question: Where is it? Do you have a tracking number? His reply is that Priority Mail doesn't come with a tracking number. DUH! Of course it does. It's an optional service you have to pay for but what I paid for shipping, gave him enough for priority, the DC AND have extra bucks besides.

classic , but not at the PO.

Paloma, you can also turn in a seller for outrageous shipping costs even if you didn't get a quote before bidding.

My favorite newbie seller story was the china figurine sent to me in an envelope ! Guess what..it was broken ..

The poor seller tried to tell me it was my fault for not having insurance !

DC is free with postage printed through PayPal. I like it because 1/2 of the sheet has the tracking number on it. I usually email the buyer & givr them the number.

Whenever buying from a Newbie Seller, I send a friendly reminder "Please package well", and the suggestion usually works more often than not.
