How do you handle bidders who are super aggressive with a response question?

I currently have a bidder who is bragging about being the highest bidder and don't waste my time over pricing this item for more than its worth etc. I am going to get your item?

I am really tempted to answer with a smack down answer but thought I would inquire first on the board how would you all answer.

I think I'd sweetly wish him luck in his bidding and move on with my life!

"Hi Bigbux1329...Thanks for the interest in my auction. I certainly wish you the best of luck bidding in the final seconds of the auction. My wife, who bids on all of my auctions, is also an agressive bidder".

Why bother responding at all?

Just take their money and ship item, if they win.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this, but I would DELETE the question without answering. If you answer it, it will get posted on the auction page, and it might turn off a bidder! Maybe I'm nuts, but I interpret this as a way to stop potential bidders.

I agree with Dad and ebayvet. Delete the question from ebay and move on. No one else really needs what questions have been asked a seller. It simply is another detriment to your auctions.

You can answer questions without them being posted in your auctions , just turn that off.

Besides this jerk isn't asking a question, is he?

If he isn't why answer?

::If you answer it, it will get posted on the auction page, and it might turn off a bidder!::

That is actually an option that you must actively select. Questions are only added to the auctions if you wish them to be.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?
